allison
"you wanna know what i did to get in here?" she pauses. "nothing—i just didn't have anything better to do."
everyone laughs.
"are you laughing at me?"
"no!" andrew shakes his head, and allison starts to laugh too.
"yeah you are!" she says between laughs.
—
brian decides to put a record on. the music starts, and all of them start dancing, around the library. not caring about anything.
bender leaves to back to the closet, so he crawls back through the heating duct, like he did earlier.
andrew, allison, claire and brian are sitting, in that order on the railing.
"brian?" claire asks.
"yeah?"
"are you gonna write your paper?"
"yeah, why?"
"well, it's kinda a waste for all of us to write our paper, don't you think?"
"but that's what vernon wants us to do."
"true, but i think we'd all say the same thing, ya know?"
"you just don't want to write your paper..right?"
"well also true, but, you're the smartest, right?"
"oh, well." he says with pride.
"we trust you."
brian glances over at allison and andrew, and that nod in approval.
"allright, i'll do it." he sighs.
claire looks at allison who looks back. "come on." she jutted her head towards a room.
"where're we going?"
"come on!"
claire puts eye shadow, and eye liner on allison. "don't be afraid."
"don't stick that in my eye!"
"i'm not sticking it, just close your eyes."
claire puts the make-up on her and allison squeals. "you know, you really do look a lot
better without all that black shit on your eyes.""hey! i like that black shit."
"this looks a lot better, look up." she holds a mirror to show allison her makeup.
"please, why're you being so nice to me?" allison asks.
"because you're letting me."
—
bender, is still in the closet once again. claire opens the door and enters.
"you lost?" he asks, smirking.
claire stares at him, bender smiles, which makes claire smile.
—
andrew looks up and sees the newly made over allison and is in awe. allison walks towards him and stops when she notices brian staring at her with his mouth open, she glares at him.
"cool!" the nerd yells.
"thank you!" she says beaming.
—
claire kisses bender, then she breaks the kiss.
"why'd you do that?" he asks.
"because i knew you wouldn't."
"you know how you said before, how your parents used you to get back at each other...wouldn't i be outstanding in that capacity?"
"were you really disgusted about what i did with my lipstick?" she ignores benders question.
"truth?"
"truth."
bender nods and speaks at the same time. "no."
—
brian lift up his paper and kiss it, meaning he's done. andrew and allison, on the other hand, are still talking.
"what happened to you?"
"why? claire did it! what's wrong?" she begins to get worried.
"nothing's wrong, it's just so different. i can see your face."
"is that good or bad?"
"it's good!" he laughs.
allison smiles. brian laughs and gives himself a congratulatory punch in the arm.
