Y/n's POV:

I woke up enwrapped in covers. What happened last night? Wait- I'm still in Halloween Town! YES! I smiled and got up. Looks like Jack put me to bed when I got tired. When did I get so tired? I shrugged off my questions and decided to head where the delicious smell of f/f came from. As I made the bed, I thought of where Jack slept. Maybe he slept on the couch. If there even is one. I headed downstairs and came face to face with f/f on the kitchen counter. I looked to my left and saw Jack washing dishes. "Morning Jack!" I exclaimed. Jack turned and smiled my direction "Morning Y/n! Sleep good?" "Yeah actually! Best one I've had in a long time!" I sat down with that and began eating. "These are really good!" I said complimenting his skills. "I found a cookbook lying around in the bookshelves and decided to make something for you! Since, I don't really eat anything." Jack said finishing the dishes and putting them up. "There's some clothes for you in the bedroom when you're ready to change." Jack said grabbing my empty plate and starting to wash it too. "Thanks Jack." "You're welcome Y/n." I went upstairs to find a pair of clothes just like Jack's but they looked downsized for me. I chuckled and started to put the on. As I finished putting on the black and white striped tux (or should I say crop top) I heard Jack knock on the door and say "Are you dressed?" I giggled and responded "Yeah Jack! I'm dressed." Jack opened the door and gazed in astonishment. "You look beautiful." Jack said smiling. I giggled and said "Thanks Jack! I'm surprised it actually fits!" "Me too! I guess Sally actually does know how to sew up clothing that can fit a human!" I looked at Jack in confusion. "Who's Sally?" Jack smiled my way and said "She's an old friend of mine. A humanoid ragdoll created by Doctor Finklestein, the greatest doctor we have here!" I smiled and said "Well if we see her, remind me to tell her she's an amazing seamstress!" We both, soon enough, started to head downstairs and sit on the couch watching 'Nightmare on Elm Street'. Just then I felt something tingle on my leg, I brushed it off and told myself that it was probably Zero. Then I looked to my left to see Zero napping on Jack's leg. I looked down at my leg slowly and saw it disappearing. "J-Jack..." I stuttered out silently. Jack looked my way and started to freak out. "Y/n! I-I forgot to tell you! If a human stays here they start to disappear into their own world, because t-they can't stay here with monsters forever!" He started to hit his head and say "Stupid!" repeatedly. "Jack! Isn't there anything we can do to stop it?!" I shouted and tried to stand, but fell into Jack's arms. Jack closed his eyes and thought for a moment. He opened his eyes suddenly, and picked me up bridal style and ran to a weirdly-shaped dome home on another hill. He knocked loudly and shouted out "Doctor Finklestein! We need your help!" The door suddenly opened and a small man with a duckbill mouth in a motorized wheelchair came out. "Jack! Pleasure to see you again! What brings you here?" Jack made it quick about what happened and we all headed inside. I was placed on a table, sitting right-side up, with Dr. Finklestein inspecting me, while Jack paced back and forth. "Hmm." Jack looked up expectantly and asked "Well? Did you know a cure?" Dr. Finklestein replied with "I only know one thing." He went up to Jack and whispered something into his ear. "What?! I couldn't do that! S-She u-uhhhh arrgh!" Jack grunted in frustration at Dr. Finklestein's advice and turned the other way. "It's either you do that and she stays, or you let her fade and she will never find our door again." Jack sighed and I questioned "Whatever it is I can do it. As long as it doesn't involve any sort of toy making." Dr. Finklestein looked at me weirdly "Why do you expect toy making will be useful for this?" Dr. Finklestein studied my face "Are you afraid of toys?" I looked at him and started to tell my story.

Jack's POV:
I heard Y/n start telling her story of evil toys dropped off by a rather weird Santa Claus. I listened intentionally and gulped at her saying "When I heard Tulip scream from upstairs, I ran there and saw her being eaten. I couldn't save her and she died." I could tell she tearing up and felt guilt invade my whole body. That weird Santa was me. I did that. I killed her nephew, and hurt her in the process of trying something new. I turned and said "Y/n..." She looked at me, eyes full of tears. I couldn't take it anymore. I fell to my knees and hugged her small, frail body close to mine. "I-I'm s-so sorry! It was me! I was the weird Santa from last year! I didn't mean to hurt you or your nephew! I just wanted to try something new! I-I d-didn't m-mean i-it!" I sobbed into her shoulder and she held me close. "I-I forgive y-you."

Y/n's POV:

I held onto Jack, caressing his back, while also crying myself. I couldn't believe he would come right out with the truth! Most men, who didn't know me, never came out with the truth. Mainly because they eventually knew who I was in town because of other people telling him. I hugged Jack close and let him go the second he stopped crying. I looked into his eyes and told him, again, that I forgave him. "Now what is it that you guys said could cure me." After a long explanation, I came out with the conclusion that I had to become a monster myself. "How do I become a monster?" I asked. Dr. Finklestein responded with "To become a monster is many things. If you were to become a werewolf, you would either have to be bitten or cursed. To become something bigger, you would have to do the same thing that, that monster does to turn." I looked at Jack and then at Dr. Finklestein. I took a deep breathe and said "Do you have a potion to hold it off for now?" Dr. Finklestein touched his head and shouted "Eureka! I do! Come my child! I have it this way!" Dr. Finklestein pointed to his left and made his way over there. He picked up a potion bottle with a purple substance and a glass of blue substance. He then poured the blue substance into the potion bottle full of purple substance and the substance turned green. "Here. This should make your process of fading slow down. I'm sorry I don't have one to completely stop it." "Thanks Dr. Finklestein." I chugged the potion down and gave it back to Dr. Finklestein, then tried to stand. I fell into Jack's arms once again, and Jack helped me up. "Let's get you home." Jack said picking me up. Dr. Finklestein then again said "Remember you need to make your mind up, whether to find a monster to turn into, or fade away." "I will turn into a monster." I said meaning it. When me and Jack were home, he placed me on the couch and Zero approached us whining, while licking my leg. I sighed and patted his head "Good boy." I said and Zero cuddled up to my stomach. "Y/n." I looked at Jack and saw him looking at his hands in his lap "I really am sorry." I hugged Jack's side and said "It wasn't your fault, you wanted to experience something new and didn't realize anything, until I told you. Also I have a little time to think of something to become." I snuggled closer and felt Jack hug me back. "Thanks Y/n." "No problem." I said smiling. When we finally let go, Jack said "What do you think you want to become. A werewolf, spider, snake, witch, possibilities are endless!" I thought for a second and then thought of an idea. "How can someone become you?" Jack gasped and said "You want to become....me?" I stared into his eye sockets saying "I have yet to meet another Pumpkin King and I've never seen someone like you before." Jack smirked and said "Well then....Pumpkin Queen...would you like to know how I turn?" I blushed and nodded 'yes'.
