Skye and Chase- a paw patrol love story

The walk

Chase and Skye walked with each other. "What a nice evening!" Skye yelped. Chase nodded. He really enjoyed Skye's company. "Awe!" Skye said, pointing to a squirrel. "So cute!" Chase chuckled. "Yeah" he responded. Chase started thinking. He realized after a while how much taller he was compared to Skye. Hmm...
He stopped thinking and looked in Skye's direction. He saw her staring at him. He smiled. "Skye?" He chuckled. Skye blushed and turned her head away immediately. "W-what?" She stammered. "I wasn't looking at you!" Chase turned his eyes forward again. "It's okay if you were." he mentioned. "I don't mind, really." Skye couldn't help but smile. "B-but still I wasn't" she said, trying to cover up.
Suddenly, Chase's pup-tag beeped. "Chase?" Ryder's voice came from it. "You and Skye should come back to the lookout, alright?" Skye had already turned around to walk back. "Yes, Ryder, sir" Chase answered. Skye was already walking, so Chase caught up to her. "You're fast" Chase commented. "Yeah, I guess" she replied. They didn't say much as they were walking, but before they went into the elevator Skye stopped walking and turned to Chase. "Hey, Chase" She said. "I'll just get to the point." Chase was interested.
"I really enjoy spending time with you" She said softly. "Me too!" Chase replied, his heart skipping a beat. "Maybe we should hang out more often?"
"Yeah, of course!"
"Great!" He barked. "But I'm really sleepy, so let's get to bed, okay?" Skye nodded and hopped into the elevator. Chase followed. It was a short ride, short enough for no one to say anything. When it stopped, they said their goodbyes and went to their pup beds. Chase saw Rubble talking to Skye. "Hi, Skye!" He said. "Did you read my note?" Skye looked uncomfortable. "Well, Rubble... the thing is..." she began. "I really don't share your feelings. I'm sure you'll find someone who will but I'm sorry."
Tears started filling up in Rubble's eyes. He ran to his bed and cried silently. Skye was visibly guilty.
Poor Rubble... Chase thought.
