Logan A. Starking. Logan A. Starking. My mind repeats his name over and over as I slap together a PB&J sandwich.

Logan Starking is the typical cringy, and cliche bad boy you always hear about. He is star QB for The Ravens at Jackson Carrier High School. I'm new in this town and at that school, so how do I know this? Well, I seen him today. Coach Maison is our gym teacher, and he was boasting all about him throughout the period. You should've see him though, oh how he'll make you cringe and steam with frustration....

But he also was hot. He had this sexy ungodly-like body that had to have been awarded to him from the angels above. His skin tone was very defined and you could see his biceps and abs as they almost shone through his skin tight shirt. Im sorry, but damn, oh and not to mention his 6'4 height that Coach Maison just so happened to notify the class of. My personal favorite features were his full toned sky blue eyes and dark brown hair. Ooh, swoon.....

Currently, I lie on the couch while a game show plays, waiting on my father to get home. My brother is at football tryouts for the new school year at our new school. I think he's trying out for the running back position, or something like that.

    *Ding*

I feel as if I just jumped out of my skin. Who could be at the door at- I checked the time on my phone- 6:47 in the evening? "Who is it?" I called out. A high pitched but sweet familiar voice responded letting me know it was my best friend Mindy, "It's Mindy!" How physced I was to see her, oh boy! "Girl, it's been 2 whole weeks! I missed you," I practically squealed. She jokingly said, "Oh, likewise beautiful. I long for your touch, and sexy body."

Mindy is bisexual, but mostly leans toward the female gender, and I'm okay with that because she only likes me as a best friend. Im not her type, and she knows that. We work best as friends, and though we may act gay at times, it's only due to the fact that best friends get that way when they're confortable, am I right? Anyway, she knows I'd never curve that way. I'm 100% for men. "Oh, Mindy!" I pushed her, "...go on. I wanna hear more!" She declined and said she had to go back home but wanted to make an appearance to see me. Apparently, she had a date in my new city. She lives 4 hours away, and we both have school in the morning. "Well, buenas noches, Mindy. Te amo," I kid as I wave to her and she exits in her mazda encore. "Adios, Brittney!"

We both picked up a little Spanish our 9th and 10th grade year together before I moved this year. In West Oak, my father was working in a small office for some company, and he was offered a better oppurtunity for a different office here in Orange City. There were many pro's and con's, but dad, Andrew, and I agreed it was worth the move due to his income, better academic and social oppurtunities for me, and everything Andrew will need to graduate as well as a hopeful magnificent football degree! Mindy and I were both distraught but knew things would work out; they had to...

Keys in the door dangled, and the door twisted revealing a sweaty tall teenage boy with dark skin, dirty blonde hair, and green eyes known as Andrew Michael Johnson. "Where's dad," I asked casually.  He scoffed, "Do I not get a how did it go tonight, did you have fun, were all the girls drooling over you, or anything?!" He swept passed me ever so meticulously making sure to get sweat on me. I wiped my body quickly, "Gross, Andrew!" I rolled my eyes. "I'm sure you were fine, and you always have fun playing the sport you love. Now where is dad?" "You're lame, normal girls would die to have my sweat drip amongst their bodies. Oh, and cool your tits, dude," he responded grasping a cold bottled water out of the fridge as he wiped his forehead with a dish rag and threw it in the laundry, "Dad is in the garage working on his girlfriend's new patio chair."

Rachel was another reason dad wanted to move. She wasn't about to move 4 hours North for the man she claims to be so in love with. Nope, instead we had to move here. I don't exactly care for her. "Okay, thanks. I'll go accompany him now. Oh, and leftover spaghetti is in the fridge for dinner, I ate around 5:30. Feel free to finish the bucket off. I put dad and Rachel two bowls on the top shelf." He didn't respond, as I had already headed off to the garage.

I turned down the hallway passed the laundry room, and bounced down the garage steps ad I flipped my hair back to see dad and Rachel laughing as the were horribly trying to make chairs. "Harry, I thought you told me you took carpentry back in high school," Rachel giggled. Dad replied with, "Ah, well. I did take the course, but I never said I had an easy time passing. In those days I was too busy googoo eyes over the girls."

Before she could respond, I cleared my throat and lightly knocked on the open door since they both had yet to notice I was right there. "Oh, honey! I'm sorry. Rachel and I were just so engulfed in the look of these chairs. How was day one of JCHS?" "It's okay, dad. And, I had a great day!" Did I really? No... but that was okay, "Dad, I'm actually really tired so, I thought I'd take a shower and dismiss myself for the night, if that's okay? I ate and left you and Rachel a bowl of spaghetti in the fridge--" "Fancy," Rachel implied. "Sure," I commented as I rolled my eyes, "Good luck with the chairs!" From dad's expression, I could tell the situation seemed to be quite intense for him, but he just forced a smile and said, "Thank you, dear. Goodnight." I returned the opposite responses along with an I love you and he blew a kiss. Rachel shouted goodnight. With that, I disappeared into my room upstairs.

In my new room, it held it's own side restroom. Each room in the house has it's seperate bathroom (minus the one spare room) which is actually perfect for this family. Anyway, I decided to lie out on my bed for a minute and just take in the relaxing breeze from the outside air, entering from my slightly cracked balcony door. I couldnt help but think about how today at school had gone so horribly. Me-- being the new girl?! How could I have let this happen, I face palmed. I'm the most popular girl at West Oak High, and Brandon Radley was the most popular boy. We dated until I told him I was going to be moving, except I never had intense feelings for him. He was just with me because it's what you're supposed to do in high school: Date your crowd. Technically, if everything had went well, and I hadn't lost my contacts this morning, and had remembered my nice clothes were still in the box on the top shelf in my closet, and I hadn't bumped into Logan in the hallway after dropping my glasses and them getting crushed..... then today I'd match up to guys like Logan.

Shower time! I grabbed a towel and a royal silky green night gown. I set the music playlist on my phone to country classics and connected it to my bluetooth speaker that stays in the bathroom on the counter. I hopped in the shower and thought to myself about thr masculine 12th grader I had seen earlier today.

Once I got out, feeling refreshed, I turned the music off and pulled the night gown ocer my head. I brushed my hair and teeth and walked down the hall. I knocked on Andrew's door and told him goodnight, he responded and said he was sorry for his attitude earlier. I forgave him and fell sound asleep in my bed, but only after turning off all the lights.

Hope Chapter One was enjoyable. Leave a like if you did enjoy it. Thank you!
