Prologue

I was standing at the edge o f the cliff, starting down at the sea, watching the waves crash angrily against the rocks bellow. The wind suddenly picked up from the light breeze until it was whipping my hair around my face clouding my vision. I raised my head to the sky and saw the birds circling around me. As I looked closer I saw them get closer to the sea with every circle.

It felt as if I was being told a message. So I listened. I took off my sweater, leaving me barefoot in my white lace shirt and black skirt. As I took a step closer to the edge the wind blew fiercer, the waves crashed harder, and the birds circled faster. As I placed my foot on the edge everything seemed to grow silent, like the world was holding its' breath.
