“I don’t get why I have to share a room with you,” Jeffrey jokes.

I smile. “Oh yeah keep acting like you hate it.” I wink at him.

“I’m not acting,” he replies poking my cheek.

“Sure, sure.” I wave my hand around carelessly. “We should unpack now though…”

“Good thinking little sis,” Jeff replies snapping his fingers.

“I’m not that much younger!” I protest. It’s true; I’m only 5 minutes younger.

He smirks. “Whatever.”

I shake my head and grab my suitcase which is leaning against the door. I also grab Jeffrey’s and toss it to him. “Unpack,” I order.

“Kay.” We unpack in silence for a few minutes before Jeff speaks. “I don’t know why, but I have a weird feeling about this place,” he confesses.

I look up confused. “Why? We’ve only been here for like an hour.”

He shrugs. “It’s just a feeling…” He gazes out the window for a moment before going back to unpacking.

I bite my lip but do the same. Jeffrey has always had this feeling… Like if anything bad will happen he knows its coming. But he has never been this serious. My train of thought is broken when a loud knock sounds on the door.

“Come in!” Jeffrey yells setting the toothpaste that he was holding onto his lap.

The door is pushed open revealing my mother. She is quite pretty for a 45 year old. She has long tousled blond hair and her eyes are the same shade of blue as mine. She bites her lip nervously and plays with the hem of her shirt.

I smile and brush back a strand of my blonde hair. “What’s up Mom?”

Her eyes flicker to mine. Blue eyes looking into blue eyes. Then she looks away. “I’m just sorry you guys have to share a room. I know how teenagers like their privacy.”

“Not twins!” Jeffrey and I sing in unison. Jeffrey chuckles while I giggle.

Mom shakes her head. “Whatever you two. Anyways, I have to leave for work. One of the doctors left early so I have to take his shift. I’ll be back in three… four hours,” she tells us.

Jeff and I both nod. We exchange nervous looks. This means we have to watch Emily and Olivia… “Erm… Okay,” I reply biting the inside of my cheek. The fact is Jeffrey and I haven’t met our younger sisters. Ever. So, you could say we were a bit… nervous.

Mom smiles gratefully. “Thanks you two.” She glances at her watch and turns around. “Now, don’t burn the house down!” she exclaims cheerfully hurrying out of the room.
