tyler was in the school's court since very early that morning. his backpack was lying on the floor and he was alone, with a basketball in his hands. the black t-shirt he was wearing was soaked in his own bits of sweat. his breathing was echoing through the large room. he held the ball in his hands, looked at the basket over for a few seconds, stepped on his toes and threw it in a way that it went right through the net without touching it. the ball hit the floor and he stood there looking at it with a sceptical expression on his features. then he walked towards it in order to pick it back up, but he stopped mid-way, as he heard his so-called teammates walk in. "oh hey tyler. pretty early i see." ryan said "yeah, i didnt know what to do home so i came here..." he told him quietly. "okay then. what do you all say we play a match?" and they all agreed. tyler would prefer to play on his own, but -as the leader of the team- he couldnt refuse. so they started playing...
"...good morning." amy told her aunt who was at that time talking to the phone. she put her hand over her cellphone's mic and returned amy the greeting. the niece then walked to the door without even bothering to chit-chat. she was utterly excited to go to the school that day. she was finally going to apply to the cheerleaders' team after tyler had told her about it. so she started walking towards school...
"...next." the obnoxious girl in a cheerleader's suit behind the table with the applications said and amy took a step forward. "hi," she said confidently. but that little sparkle in her went out when the wind of the girl's aura hit her. "fill up this and hand it back when youre done. next!" she abruptly said. amelia sat on a chair in the room and picked up the pen she was vigorously given and started to write. all types of teams or clubs had a desk in the school's auditorium so applicants could join whichever they wanted to. as she flipped through pages and jolted down her answers, someone stood in front of her and she realized it after the sunlight that was illuminating her papers was replaced by a shadow. she looked up and saw a friendly and warm look of a blue-haired boy looking at her, his hands behind his back and he was skipping back and forth on his heels. "um, hey. i just wanted to ask, um, if i could use your pen..." "sure, here. im done using it after all." the coffee-coloured-haired girl answered him sweetly. "thanks," he said just before they both went their separate ways -josh went to chemistry class and amy to geography.
when josh reached the lab, he wasnt the first one to be there, as he expected. tyler looked at him and connected his eyes with josh's for a split second. josh diverted his gaze to where he would sit as he put his backpack on the floor beside him. tyler's eyes kept on looking at the boy with sky-blue hair, wandering from his muscly hands to his black vans -almost everyone in the school owned a pair. he then felt the presence of someone walking through the door and looked away. then, he looked at his hands on the desk and started thinking.
josh was quite a popular guy. popular, but shy. tyler and he wouldnt talk much. sometimes, tyler would be a step away from going over to him and starting a chat, but some weird feeling would pull him back. would he talk to him now? what's the worst that could happen? he thought to himself "hey, josh." he heard someone say. sebastian was holding josh in a bro-hug. josh got up and returned the gesture.
the bell rang a few minutes later and amy was sat alone in the back of the classroom. she was looking forward to joining the cheerleaders' team, actually, that was all she could think about. she wasnt paying much attention until she heard: "miss clarke, could you answer question number 3 for us?" and she froze a bit, was startled for a moment but kept her cool and tried to give the answer needed.
"yes." she said confidently...hey there long time no see haha... sorry for, um, everything, basically. but i have explanations!!! school is just ruining my life with its crazy hours so i barely have time to even use the internet in general. could someone cound how many times ive apologised for not being punctual? anyways, if youre still interested in my writing, just know that ill try my hardest to keep up with life and sort things out properly. thank ya'll for the feedback!
peace out, iri <3
