Juyeon giddily skidded to 199X Funk. It was another cold evening where the frigid, shrieking winds were blowing. It was also the day where Juyeon had no padding or sweater to wear - the one he had wore yesterday fatefully got soaked in the rain when he was helping his grandfather at the harbor.
But Juyeon felt warm as he thought of meeting Chanhee and the kids again.
"Hyung!" He reached 199X Funk, found Hui by the Sunflower Cafe and called him. Hui responded with a smug smile before waving back to him.
"Seems like you're in good mood!" Kino, a waiter from Sunflower Cafe teased. Juyeon had known Kino since they bumped to each other a lot while Juyeon visited Hui.
Juyeon grinned while nodding, Kino went past him to get to the kitchen.
Reminded about his business, Juyeon immediately followed Hui to the reception table. "Hyung, is Chanhee here?" He asked with a wide smile.
Hui was reorganizing the scattered papers into the file, he heard a familiar name that had checked out a few hours ago and turned to Juyeon - his expression was grim and Juyeon was confused.
"He did not tell you?" Hui asked while tilting his head.
Juyeon blinked innocently, with his fingers tapped his chin. "Tell me what?"
Hui's mouth was shaped to an 'O' before checking then room list then shoved it to Juyeon.
"He already left. Today, that kid with red hair told me they'll go back to Seoul today."
In a split second, Juyeon's delighted smile was replaced with an agonized, bitter face.
Yes, he felt betrayed.
"Oh yes!" Hui concealed a shout, he pulled a small envelope from a drawer then handed it to Juyeon.
"That rose haired boy told me to give you this. And this too,"
Juyeon stared at the envelope and a folded pinwheel repeatedly. He gently teared the envelope and took out what it seemed like a filmstrip to him.
It was a negative roll of a film. Juyeon squinted his eyes and toom out two photos from the envelope.
It was photos of him, posing at the door on the supposed day of Chanhee going back to 199X Funk.
"He told me he will keep your padding and will give it to you once it is dried." Hui added more while patting Juyeon's shoulder.
Juyeon nodded while keeping the photos and film into his jeans pocket then he bid his goodbye to Hui.
Was it such a fool of him to assume anything?
And it was bold of him to kiss a stranger when he already knew what will happen.
Juyeon pouted. He bumped onto Sunwoo at the intersection when the younger was passing with a serious look all over his face.
"Hyung! Are you okay? What's with the long face?" Sunwoo peeked closer to Juyeon and the older pushed him gently.
"Nothing. Where are you going?" Juyeon observed Sunwoo who was all dressed up like he was going to a date.
"I am to meet Haknyeon hyung!" He chirped happily - Sunwoo beamed at the mention of Haknyeon.
Juyeom chuckled. Haknyeon was also his neighbor, he worked at a repair shop and that was also where Chanhee's car had been sent for repair. Sunwoo and Haknyeon had always been close, sort of love-hate relationship that you'd see in TV.
"Do you want to follow me?" Sunwoo offered.
Juyeon politely declined. He needed to take a good look at the pictures and figure out why he was acting differently those days.
Sunwoo and Juyeon parted ways. Sunwoo headed to Jam Jam Repairs - the name was ridiculous and Sunwoo had complained many times to get it changed but Haknyeon was stubborn and he wanted to keep it that way.
"Hyung!!" Sunwoo beamed toward Haknyeon. The older's face was smudged with black oil but Sunwoo thought he was charismatic.
"Oh you came!" Haknyeon grabbed a towel and wiped his face. "What is it? Your bike had flat tyre again?"
"What? Yah, it's not!" Sunwoo slapped Haknyeon's shoulder. Sunwoo owned a bike and he took a poor care of it - being rarely going out and using the bike, it always had flat tyre whenever it was needed to use.
Haknyeon laughed. "Okay, what is it?"
Sunwoo pulled out sort of ticket or an invitation card from his jacket. He placed it on the table proudly.
Haknyeon tilted his head and read what it was saying on the card. Then he frowned.
"Art exhibition?" He arched his brows, never knew Sunwoo had this kind of interest.
"Yes! Do you remember that boys that came with me yesterday?"
"Eric and Hwall? That boys from Seoul you meant?"
Sunwoo intently nodded. "They gave this to me and they asked to bring you too!"
Haknyeon gaped. "Oh wait, don't we need an adult supervision?" Haknyeon blurted and Sunwoo facepalmed.
"You are an adult!"
"Oh right! But I don't trust myself. What about we asked Sangyeon hyung and Juyeon hyung too? The more, the merrier!" Haknyeon suggested.
Sunwoo nodded. "I will go ask them later!"
Both of them giddily screamed. It would be their first time to visit a big city - a thrilling experience to come.
