It was the first day of school for me since being on summer vacation. I had woken up from my dreaded alarm clock.
"Oh alright. I'm up, I'm up.."
I sighed as i sat up in bed. i heard my dad yell from in the living room.
"Erin! Get your ass up and go to school. I have to go to work."
I groaned and went to go shower. After showering I got dressed and put my makeup on. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled faintly at the picture of my mom taped to my mirror in the corner.
"Goodmorning mom.. Looks like its time for school again. Wish me luck, I love you."
I gently kissed the picture, grabbed my backpack and headed to school.
School was going pretty good for my first day, that was until lunch came. I dreaded lunch, mainly because my only bestfriend committed suicide after getting fed up with the constant bullying from her family and people from school always posting negative things on her blog...
I walked into the cafeteria, got my food and went to sit at an empty lunch table in the corner. As I was eating, Amanda and her "clique" came over.
"So I heard your little friend went bye-bye this summer?"
She smiled at me as if what she said would have no toll on me. Amanda always had the blackest of hearts.
"She didn't go 'bye-bye' Amanda. She just got tired of everyone's shit, including yours."
Amanda slapped me on the back of my head.
"Listen here you little shit. Just because your dumb little 'friend' finally ended what life she thought she had, doesn't make it my fault. Even if it was, who cares? She was a nobody just like you."
Amanda smiled at me and was about to walk off with her posse.
"Fuck you Amanda."
Amanda stopped as she heard those words fall from my mouth.
What on earth was I thinking?
