AN: Thank you to everyone who reads my first story. I know the first two chapters were a bit short, but if you give some patience the chapters will start getting longer. I'm still getting used to using Wattpad, but for now enjoy chapter 3 of Soul Mates!

        Rose's POV

I looked at Erin's surprised face and smiled slightly.

"Yes, you'll be living with us and we'll be going to school together! Aren't you excited?"

I raised an eyebrow in confusion as I was waiting for a response from her. I gently poked her arm, then she finally met my gaze and smiled.

"Sorry it's just all so unexpected. I'm happy to be living with you guys, but...."

She trailed off of her sentence and my mom got up and finally spoke up.

"But what dear?"

Erin looked around the house as if she was searching for something, then finally she sighed sadly and met our gazes again.

"This is my mom's house and... I don't know if I can leave her. I haven't left this house ever since she passed...

Erin's POV

I teared up a little and sniffled as I wiped the tears from my face. I know its been 4 years since my mom passed away, but it still feels like she's still here every day.. Even though I couldn't even possibly think to leave this house, I knew I had to. Who knows, I could come visit this place later after I graduate high school and leave for college... But still, leaving this house? To a whole new state? It's going to take me a good few minutes to say goodbye to my childhood, and more importantly to my mom... My dad spoke up and brought me back to reality.

"Erin! Quit day dreaming and get your shit and leave already. You know I got stuff to do.

I sighed and shook my head.

"Drinking your ass off and watching tv doesn't count as something to really do dad..."

"You better watch who you're talking to you little bitch! Get out of here already."

I felt Rose tugging my arm slightly and whispering in my ear.

"Come on, let's go pack. Before I beat the shit out of him with a hammer." She told me in anger.

I just nodded and followed her to my bedroom. It took us about 45 minutes to pack everything of mine being that I barely have any clothes as it is. I breathe in slowly and exhale slowly, greiving the process of having to leave the house that I grew up in,  and leaving my mom... I grab the picture off my mirror and stare at the beautiful picture of my mom. I stared at her beautiful hazel eyes and the faint smile on her lips. That was the day she had decided to shave all her hair off because she already knew she was going to lose it with the chemo she would be going through with her cancer. She was hesitant about it, but after I reassured her that she looked beautiful no matter what, she finally found the courage to do what she wanted. I took that picture after she had just got done shaving... The next few days went in a blur because she was always at the doctors from what I thought. Then it came to one night that my dad took me and himself to the hospital because my mom had to stay overnight for some reason I didn't know at the time. Once we got there, we went into my mom's hospital room.

Erin's flashback

"Momma! Why are you still in the hospital? You're only supposed to be here during the day."
