Fletch was sitting beside jacs bed. Jac had finally the implant removed from her spine as was slowly coming back to a full recovery. She was slowly coming around her senses her sight her surroundings all seemed to simular to her. Everything seemed like deja vu again she was back on the darwin ward being looked after by the nurses and doctors one special doctor especially someone who was close to her heart.
"feels like deja vu again" jac spoke in a tiny little voice. Her throat felt dry she tried to lift herself up to get some water but lucky for her fletch was right by her side and took the small cup and gently let her sip.
"this time will be different" fletch explained slowly tilting the cup towards her mouth.
Jac slowly sipped the water and her mouth felt less dry then before.
She slowly tried to get up but fletch stopped her before she undid any stiches that had just been redressed again.
"no no sweetheart let me help you up" fletch shouted.
"fletch please i need to do this i need to show im fine" jac replied.
Jac tried with all of her might and strength to force herself up on the bed.
She struggled to keep her arms holding on to the bed frame she felt so fragile and weak like a porcelain doll everything she felt was her aniexty showing her weakness.
"im not weak!!!!" she shouted to fletch.
Fletch was hurt by her words everything they had been through was feeling like history was repeating itself again.
"i know your not sweetheart but for once will you let me help you i dont want you going through all of this on your own again" fletch explained.
Jac nodded her head in agreement and let fletch help her slowly get up from the bed so she was sitting up with her legs dangling towards the floor.
"please dont think im pushing you away im not trying to not get to that stage again" jac said in a very sad voice. Tears were streaming down her face everything that had happened over the last few days were starting to fall into place. Her mind was remermissing of what had happened and that she told herself if she ever got to this stage again she wouldnt forgive herself especially with all the heartache she caused last time.
"now jac i won't let that happen this is the start of a beautiful relationship and im not going anywhere soon" fletch said. He tried to hide any emotions that she thought didnt seem right. She loved fletch it took them this long to realise it and now they finally were together she didnt want to show any emotions and feelings that made her any less human then she was before.
She till wanted to be known for her hardcore act infront of her work colleagues as well as her paitents.
"whats happened to gaskell" jac asked.
"finally be found out and sent to jail i hope" jac asked.
Fletch couldn't tell her he was more concerned it could tip her off the edge.
"hes gone for good" fletch replied.
Fletch was willing to protect jac not just for her but for her own safety.
Jac slowly gained her breathing back to normal his name sent shivers down her spine.
The thought of having him around her during surgery sent her into a sudden moment all of her bumps on her arms were showing. She suddenly remembered where she was and felt safe to be around the man who was willing to keep her safe and secure.
"im so glad i have you here you make me feel safe. Jac said. His arms went around her. He held her into a warm embrace nothing was gonna come between them now nothing.
He was going to make sure nothing came to harm jac he would protect her with his life whatever the cost.
"nothing will ever happen to you when you have me around. I'll make sure your safe whatever it takes" fletch explained.
She cuddled further into his embrace and felt safe. His words his comforting actions was all she needed to make her remember where home was. Home was him and that is all she wanted. All she needed.
