Fletch was finally back at work as was jac. She made progress during her recovery and even decided to move in with fletch. Emma and jac felt like they were part of a family it was there family now. Jac was sat in her office finishing her final hour at work. Suddenly there was a knock on her office door. "come in" jac shouted.
Fletch opened the door and slowly made his way towards her front desk.
"ready for bonfire night" he spoke full of cheer and happiness.
"er yeah i am whats the plan for tonight mr fletcher" jac asked in a concerned and mysterious way. She had never been or done anything to do with bonfire night it was one of those days where it seemed normal to the rest of them. Fletch stood there and kissed jacs cheek before he left he said just wait naylor just wait.
Fletch left jacs office and made his way to his own. He closed the door quietly so noone expected a thing from him.
He opened one of his draws and pulled out a velvet box. Freida had just walked in.
"fletch is that what i think it is?" freida asked with determination to get the answer out of him.
"freida what do you want and for the record yes yes it is" fletch replied.
He looked at the ring and thought to himself what if she laughed at him or worse told him no. Everything between them was going so well was he prepared to take the next step in their relationship to move forward.
Freida interrupted his thoughts she spoke and told him to go with his heart.
"freida promise me you wont say anything to jac" fletch asked in a desperate manner.
"tell jac what" freida replied. Freida walked out of fletches office and made her rounds on the ward.
5 mins to go jac thought to herself she kept starring at the clock waiting for time to move forward.
Fletch had finished an hour before her and went straight to his to sort plans and arrangements for tonight.
He saw his watch hit 7oclock and all of him inside trembled with anticipation and nerves. His body was shivering his heart was beating faster he felt a shiver down his spine his breathing increased. All because of one question he was about to ask to the woman he loved.
Jac made her way out of the hospital and towards fletches house.
Outside of fletches house was parked cars of some of there co workers.
What has he planned jac asked herself.
She made her way from the front door to the living room.
Fletch was in the kitchen cooking food for the guests that had turned up.
Sacha, essie, freida, donna, dom, lofty, nicky, meena, rick, serna, were all in his house.
"right everyone if you would like to follow me towards the garden fireworks and food should be ready in a few mins" fletch shouted.
Everyone at work was here.
Everyone had drinks and were chatting away.
Fletch made his way towards his girlfriend and kissed her lightly on the lips.
"fletch what all is this" jac asked.
"this is what i had planned for bonfire night jac" fletch responded in a worried look.
"ohhh ok its just i thought we were doing something different thats all" jac replied. She took her coat off grabbed a drink and made her to the garden to mingle.
The kids were dancing around the fire fletch and some help had built it wasn't too big but enough to bring heat.
Jac smiled and felt quite content in this little life of hers.
Fletch made his way from the kitchen and brought food out.
He cooked sausages for hot dogs and burgers for cheese rolls.
There was a selection of hot and cold food on the garden table.
Everybody grabbed something and was asked to face forward for the firework display.
Fletch slowly lit the first few fireworks. Red and blue lit the sky which everybody had there eyes on.
Next the kids were making there way towards jac.
"jac this one is for you" fletch shouted he lit the firework and hoped for the best.
Up went the firework in the sky pink words were written in the air and a question mark was placed at the end. The question was will you marry me jac was gobsmacked. Everyone was cheering when fletch made his apperance towards her and opened the velvet box. The box contained a simple diamond ring with little diamonds all round.
Fletch stood there down on one knee hoping for the answer he longed.
"jac naylor love of my life will you do me the biggest honour of becoming my wife?" fletch asked. Fletchs heart was racing so fast he suddenly felt dizzy but all he wanted was an answer from jac.
All there coworkers had there fingers crossed as well as the kids shouting say yes say yes.
Jac opened her eyes and made her way towards fletch.
"yes yes yes of course ill marry you" jac squealed with delight.
Claps and cheering were coming from their friends. The kids were squealing with delight.
Fletch removed the ring from the box and put the ring of jacs finger.
"it fits perfectly" jac said as happy as a Cheshire cat.
Jac kissed fletch with such passion he made her the happiest girl alive.
There was alot of awwes and swaggers coming from their friends but fletch and jac didnt care. They were proud to show there love for one another.
Finally after all the time he waited he finally had jac naylor agreeing to marry him. He truly was the luckest man on earth.
"well naylor i think im the luckiest guy on the planet" fletch said in a sweet voice.
"nah fletch im the luckiest girl on the planet because I've got you" jac replied.
Fletch and jac kissed each other again this time they knew they had a chance at life again. A chance for them to be happy.
