I would love to be your friend. Those words keep replaying in me head. It's been 3 days since that day. I have seen Emma everyday so far. I still haven't seen Mal, I've tried calling and texting but I get no response. I have a feeling this is her way of saying it's over, and in all honestly, I'm fine with it. I'm actually really relieved because maybe Emma and I can be more than friends one day. I haven't worn the promise ring for about a week. It stays on the same place on top of my dresser. It's 5:30 now and I'm getting ready for work. Thank god today is Thursday, the week is almost over and Grey's Anatomy comes in tonight. I'm at least 99.9 percent certain that Emma is going to come over today. Me and her always would watch Grey's together, and she was my shoulder to cry on when it would make me cry.
Ding Dong. Who would be here this early in the morning? As I start heading downstairs I hear my front door open and close. I start thinking it's Emma because she normally just walks in, but she always calls me when she comes inside. WHO THE HELL IS IN MY HOUSE?! I slow my walking and grab the baseball bat I have at the bottom of the staircase. Breathe Regina. Just breathe.

"Gina I missed you so much" I'm caught off guard when Mal pulls me into her arms and places kisses all over my neck. She smells like pure alcohol and it's honestly grossing me out.

"Mal where have you been?" I ask her as I try to pry her sweaty body off of mine. The more I try to pull her off of me, the heavier she gets. All of a sudden I hear a snoring sound coming from the side of my face. As I look down I'm met with Mal asleep on my body. So I'm not late for work I drag Mal to my couch and leave her a note so she knows where I am. As I hear her start to wake up I quickly grab my purse and shoes and run out of the house. I don't even want to be near her right now. She left for weeks with no contact and then shows up at my house drunk. Why would she come back now? I should've made her leave. As I'm driving over a text from Emma asking if I could pick her up because she's running late. Of course I said yes because why wouldn't I? It takes me about 5 minutes to get to her place, so I will still be able to stop at the nearby coffee shop. As I arrive at Emma's house she is already waiting outside and she runs towards my car. I'm guessing she can tell how frustrated I am because she says that she will drive. As I get in the passengers seat I just think. DAMN IT
