Kyle, Tony, and the others gathered around the table at Kyle and Tony's house.  They were laying out their plans for attacking the Warnger. The roaring of the nearby river could be heard, along with the tapping of the rain against the windows. "How are we going to reach him?" Michael asked.

"We're going to have to find a way along the space route," Kyle replied.

"How long will it take to reach Harout's Bed?" Crunk asked.

Kyle shrugged. "Who knows. There's no telling what we'll encounter along the way."

"And what about the interdimensional rifts that keep popping up?" Alicia asked. "How are we going to solve that problem?"

"I haven't a clue. But hopefully we'll find answers on the way."

"And don't forget, we may never come home again," Tony added. "This could be a one-way trip. I hope you're all ready for that."

Across the river from the house, a hooded man struggled to carry a blonde-haired corpse through the rain and mud. He grunted in exhaustion, but he had grand plans ahead.

The hooded man was startled by something in the sky. A red beam of light was bursting through the atmosphere. Before the hooded man could react, he watched the beam strike the nearby house, leaving it in ruins and shrouded in smoke.

The hooded man was blown backward by the blast. The corpse he was carrying flopped on top of him. He threw it off of him, got back up, and picked up the corpse. Then, he turned, looked at the flaming ruins, and smiled as he pondered what horrible fate must have met whoever had been inside.
