Liam slammed the door on Theo and stormed back upstairs. He slammed the bedroom door shut and they all looked at him funny.

"Who the hell is this Jonas kid?" He asked the three girls, who were flipping through journals and investigating, placing the note onto the desk for them all to view.

"Jonas Foster. He's pretty much a freak, so I wouldn't suggest hanging out with him," Debra informed Liam, stopping once she noticed the pages were ripped out of the book. "Dimes anyone know what happened to the rest of this book? Beth?" She wondered, looking through the pile of books.

"I don't know, this ones like that too," she held up the book to reveal the missing pages.

"Mine too," Meg spoke.

Night began to fall and the four had been up all night looking through the notebook pages they had. When it came time to listening to the tapes, they had nothing to play them on.

"There's probably an cassette player in the basement," Liam said, getting up from his bed.

"What about the note Jonas sent?" Bethany asked nervously.

"Jonas is just trying to scare us," Debra shot her down.

"I'll go with you," Meg volunteered, getting up with Liam. She figured this could be her chance to make a move. "Let's go," she walked out of the room with him.

Liam's parents had gone out to get food. He lied and said they were all working on a group project that would require them to stay for a while. Dylan hadn't come home yet. He lied and told their mom he was being tutored by a kid in school. She was proud that he was taking some responsibility in getting help. And Lukas was in his room blasting music.

The two walked down into the basement and began going through the boxes. "Thanks for helping me with this. It means a lot to me," he said, sorting through some of the things.

"It's no problem," she blushed. "Listen, Liam. There's something I want to tell you," she turned around and looked at him.

He stopped looking through the boxes and looked at at her. For a split second it was silent. She leaned in and placed her lips on his. The two kissed for a few seconds and she realized something was wrong, so she pulled away. She looked to the ground sadly.

"It's not you, I promise. It's just—"

"No need to explain, Liam. I understand. I wouldn't want me either," she cried silently.

"No, it's not that I don't want you. Meg, you are truly beautiful, but I'm not into girls the way I should be. I want to be, because it would make things a lot easier, but I'm not," he explained, holding her hands in his. He wanted to assure her that it wasn't he fault.

"So what are you into," she sniffled, pulling herself together.

"Meg, I like boys," he came out and said it.

It was the first time he openly admitted to being gay and it was the scariest thing he had been through. At his old school, he was always trying his best to be a straight, girl hungry, football player, but he didn't have anything to lose in Beacon Hills.

"Who else knows?" She asked.

"No one, but it's okay if you want to tell Debra and Bethany. We are all friends now," he sighed.

She hugged him from behind. "You tell them when you're ready. Best friends don't tell each other's secrets."

With that, the electricity began to go out and all of the doors slammed back and fourth in the house. The house filled with screams, the sound of footsteps could be heard. Liam looked around for any source of light. He needed to get Meg out of the basement.

"Start feeling around for the stairs!" He instructed.

"I can't see anything, Liam!" She sobbed, grabbing onto him.

"It's okay, Meg. Just start finding the stairs. We aren't too far away from them. When you get upstairs, get Bethany, Lukas and Debra, and get out of the house," he told her.

"What about you?" She asked, panicky.

"I'm gonna find the cassette player, tapes and Polo," he told her.

"Liam, Meg!" Debra screamed from at the top of the stairwell, things beginning to crash and the floor shaking beneath them like an earthquake.

"Follow her voice!" He ordered, and Meg complied.

He heard the front door slam shut and knew they were safe. He began searching through boxes, dropping and breaking things, feeling for a cassette player. He would have been pissed it one weren't there. He looked up from the boxes.

The back room, he thought. It wouldn't have been with any of these boxes. It would have been where he found Kandice'a things. He ran to the back room, bumping into things, tripping a few times. He blindly searched for a cassette player until he found one.

Polo began to bark, the ruckus hitting his ears and scaring him. He held onto it tightly as he found the stairs. For a cold minute everything stopped. He walked up the stairs, lights remaining off.

He looked around at the mess.

"Help!" He heard Dylan scream and something being dragged along the floor upstairs.

"Dylan!" He responded, opening the front door to let Polo out, then hurried up the stairs to find him. The house was so big and dark he couldn't see anything. His only source of light was the moon. He looked in every direction for his brother, whipping his neck around quickly when hearing a door slam and lock. "Dylan!" He ran to the door and pounded on it.

"Liam!" Was the last thing Dylan got the chance to say before he was dangling from his bedroom ceiling fan.

Liam began kicking at the door. He finally managed to kick it down. For a second, he looked at the boy in front of him, who was hanging. It looked like suicide, but it was murder. And now he had known how Kandice felt. He had known how all of the families felt. Suicide, accidents. He ran over to Dylan and took him off the thick rope. He repeatedly applied on and off pressure to his chest, breaking his ribs. He began mouth to mouth resuscitation.

"Come on Dylan. Don't die," he begged, continuing his attempt at being back his brother. All he could hear were doors slamming shut and footprints. It was hurting his ears.

He picked up Dylan and trudged through the house until he got outside with the others. Lukas set down Polo and began running to Liam.

"Dylan! Dylan!" He screamed, having no recollection of his twin being in the house. "Dylan, I'm so sorry!" He cried.

Liam set him on the grass and got back to work. He blew oxygen into his mouth two more times, and Dylan shot up, coughing and choking. The girls watched, crying and hugging each other.

They needed Kandice Smith's help.
