My alarm went off and I looked at the clock. 6 am. Oh how I missed Bali. I got out of bed and opened my windows.  The breeze blew through the room. I quickly walk to the bathroom, get undressed and then hop in the shower.

I get out then get changed and doing my hair and makeup.  My phone then rings and I look down at the screen and see who's ringing.

Jughead Jones of all people.

I swipe the green button across and put the phone to my ear.

"Well isn't it my best-friend Forsythe" I sing into the phone whilst applying highlighter to my cheekbones.

"You know Mari, I was expecting at least one FaceTime call from you while you were travelling" he laughs into the phone. "Anyways, be ready in five, I'm walking you to school"

"Do I have a choice in the matter?" I ask jokingly.

"No!" He laughs before hanging up. I run down my stairs and look to see my little brother, Josiah sitting on the couch on the phone to his girlfriend, Alexa. I give him a hug from behind and sit next to him and see a text from Kendall.

Kenny💓: you'll do great today sweetie, see you at thanksgiving hopefully.

I smile to myself before sending her a text back. A minute later there's a knock at the door. I jump to my feet and run to the door. I open the door to my best friend before embracing him.

"It's been to long Juggy!" I squeal as he hugs me back. We separate and start to walk to school. " So Jughead, catch me up" I say whilst walking with out arms linked.

"Well Jason was killed by his father, he impregnates Polly Cooper who turns out to be his cousin . Archie is dating Veronica Lodge, daughter of tax evading Hiram Lodge, and me and Betty are well..." he gulped " are together. Just your Riverdale usual," He turned to see me with my mouth wide open in confusion.

" I see... well Jughead, could you do me a favour?" I ask.

" Anything for my bestfriend,"

"Could you take a picture of me for my Instagram" I laugh. He huffs as I pass my phone to him. He takes the picture and I post and caption it.

Time skip: arriving at school

Jughead and I walk in side by side before I'm hugged by a tall ginger dude. I didn't recognise him until I looked at his face. Archie Andrews! Puberty hit him like a bus. No a train.

"Andrews, you look great," I look behind him to see a girl with black hair. I smile at her and she puts out her hand.

" Veronica Lodge, it's nice to meet you Marilyn, Archiekins doesn't shut up about you. I think we are going to be great friends!" She says before changing the handshake into a hug.

" I think we are too !" I say into her raven coloured hair. We separate before I see the sight of a blonde ponytail. Betty Cooper, my girl best-friend . I walk over to her and tap her shoulder from behind. She turns and immediately hugs me so hard I can't breathe.

"I've missed you so frickin much B" I say as I let go.

"Same here Mari"

Then at the top of the stairs I see the person I didn't want to see. Blossom. Cheryl Blossom. The redhead strutted her way towards me and gives me the fakest smile ever.

"It's great to see you're back Marilyn, are sure you couldn't stay a few months away from here. Everything was going so well," she scoffed

"Wow Cheryl, it's been a year and you are still a stone cold bitch. You see, travelling makes you change a bit. I guess not everyone can change. Anyway, thanks for looking after the Vixens while I've been gone but I'm back now. No need to fear!" I say before taking Betty's hand and walking off. It's good to be back home.

" What do you have first Betty? " I ask while opening my locker. The same combination. Jugheads birthday.

"Math I think,"

"Same" I get my books out and start walking to our math classroom " it hasn't chang"I'm interrupted as I'm pushed by the force of a running teen and my books fall out of my hand.

I sigh before muttering " Watch where your going dumbass!" I then look up and see him. Tall. Black hair. A serpent jacket. I observe his neck. A serpent tattoo.

"Sorry princess but that wasn't my fault, you should have moved," he shrugs. I raise my eyebrow. Does he not know who I am. I've been gone for a year not eternity. Then I realise he must be one of the transfers from Southside high.

I roll my eyes before replying " my names not princess"

"Don't get mad princess, we wouldn't want you frowning. It causes wrinkles" he then walks away with a guy a later find out is called Fangs.

I turn to Betty and ask "Who's that?"

She swallows and says" Sweet Pea. Don't even get me started,"
