Chapter one- The Moon

Shiro POV
I pace back and forth hearing noises and loud cracking of bones, I can't stay still as I wait for them to be finished, I look in the doorway but my view is being blocked by a few men's backs, I turn into the shadows and go back to the waterfall in a matter of seconds, I touch the marks I made on the cave wall where I punched, It's so dark but the entrance is out by the light of the moon, he didn't even flinch when I hit the wall, he could have been killed by me.

I turn into the shadows and go to the middle of the huge arena, I could have killed him.. I look around the arena thinking of all the people who cheered for me to kill the young boy with the mask, I played around and wasn't serious, he fought for his life and when I saw his eyes I kept him alive because he was that baby from all those years ago.

I close my eyes and use my power of the shadows and take myself to the area where the little hut I found him in was, even as a baby he was smart, I stand on the ground, I could have done everything differently.

I look up at the sky, what have I done to myself? This is my mistake..

I would have saved myself so much pain if I would have just done my job.. He's going to die and it's going to hurt me, I should have followed through the plan from the beginning, for the first time I feel the pain of regret, I look at the stars in the sky then at the moon "why is this happening to me?" I ask not expecting a answer.

But of course she heard me, Artemis, she doesn't realize who I am at first, I look at her "It's because- wait.. Champion?! Why are you talking to the moon!?" She shouts shocked, she takes a step back, she has a light blue glow to her and her hair is full white, the reason she takes that form is because of the full moon.

She is one of the gods that avoids me, many of the younger gods don't like what I'm made for "I think I am going against my normal design.." I say looking away from her, I need to speak to someone "and... I was only looking at the sky cause that's the last shine he had in his eyes.. " I say thinking of Keith, he is dying and I just don't want to be there when it happens.

Artemis touches my arm then she pulls back shocked "why are you so warm!? Wait I know.." She says then sighs "did you find a human that you got found of? They live shorter lives then us" she says looking away from me, her brother must have told her that line a hundred times.

"I'm not fond of him" I state plainly and she smirks "oh? So you start feeling something but not towards him?" She asks and I say nothing and that just adds fuel to her teasing "you love him!" She shouts and I feel my face heat up "hell no!" I shout and she laughs.

I roll my eyes and start walking, I don't know what I'm doing anymore, I should go see him, if this is his last day I at least need to look at him "is he dying of old age? Or already gone?" She asks following me, she must have seen my expression. I don't look at her and continue to walk "he's dying, He's only nineteen" I say and she stops walking "you can't go back to Zeus" she says and I glance over my shoulder at her "I can follow through my tasks." I state my eyes going silver in seriousness.

She looks away "you will be destroyed, you're not like you were, once he sees that he will see you as a threat" she says and I look away "you're right" I say and look down at my hands, there was tried blood, It's Keiths, I can't let him die alone in the hands of those . ..people, I have to see if he's okay, I have to see if they saved him.

"I can handle what Zeus has planned for me, don't say anything to your brother.. please" I say and she smiles walking next to me "you're finally getting somewhere Champion" she says and I shake my head " my name is not Champion" I say and she smirks "finally." She says and turns into a snowy white wolf, I look at her then turn into shadows and leave her alone, I see the large white wolf take off running down the hill, I close my eyes and go back to the village.
