Confusion

Chapter 4

I don't know okay. Well the guy, Drake, from my hometown, is really sweet and is really cute. But the thing is, he and me well, we used to date but I had to go to LA, remember? So, we decided not to have a long distance relationship and break up.  But we remained as best friends. I still have feelings for him but I also have feelings for Niall. Someone please tell me what to do.

Let me tell you the whole story.

It was in December. It was snowing. The birds were migrating and the trees looked as if they had no hair. I was at home, as usual. My parents were away for 3 months on a business trip so they told me early not to go out when it's snowing. I stayed at home. I had my hot cocoa ready and I watched my favourite movie, Titanic. And then, the doorbell rang. I went out. It was Drake. My bestfriend and crush.

"What are you doing out here in the cold, Drake?"

"I would love to tell you why but can I come in?"

"Oh, yea, sure."

He sat on the couch while I was in the kitchen making hot cocoa with marshmallows for him. He sat on the couch and he said that he wanted to talk to me. I was confused about why, and what. So, while waiting for the water to heat up, I sat on the couch. To talk to him.

"Beth, I have something to tell you."

"What happened, Drake?"

"Well, I just want to confess to you that i like you. And trust me, I was very reluctant to come here but it is driving me crazy. I had to talk to you now to shake it off."

"Wow. Drake. This is too-"

"I know it's too much. But I'm only here to confess to you. I know your parents are off to their business trip so I decided to come over."

"Well, the thing is Drake, I like you too."

"Well, that's great! I should take you out sometime."

"Actually, Drake, Ari is coming over to watch Titanic with me. Will you join? It's cold outside."

"I thought you never asked. Let's go."

He went upstairs with me and I brought him the hot cocoa that I made. I was so excited. Yet, scared. I didn't know what to say on a first "date". So I just acted like how we both acted when we are around each other. Goofy as always. We didn't start the movie because we were waiting for Ari. We talked and we got to know each other better than we used to.

*ding dong*

"Oh, that should be Ari. I'll get it for you." Drake told me.

"Aww, how sweet. Okay."

He gave me a peck on the cheeks and he went downstairs.

"You stay right here, okay? ;)"

Trust me, I was fangirling. ( A S   U S U A L ) Ari ran up and closed the door and Drake was left outside.

"What are you doing? Let him in, Ari."

"But first, why is he here?"

"Well, he confessed to me that he likes me!"

"Omg Beth! That is totes amazing! Okay, okay, I'll let him in."

She opened the door and let Drake in.

"Well, that wasn't very nice, Ari"

"Sorry! Me and Beth had a little talk"

"Okay... I smell something fishy. Oh, nevermind. Ari, maybe you should call Jai and invite him here."

"Yes, I should."

Ari went outside to call Jai and that means, me and Drake. ALONE.

"Beth, you look beautiful in your pajamas." Drake said (no sarcasm).

"And you look dashing in yours too."

Suddenly, Drake leaned in on me and he asked me for a kiss. Of course I said yes. He put his lips on mine and we just had a really passionate kiss. We stopped for awhile and he looked in my brown eyes and I looked at his blue eyes. And we continued until...

"Guys! Jai is on his way- nevermind."

Me and Drake laughed.

"Okay, Ari. I think we should start the movie."

"Yea, I think I should before things start to get out of hand."

Ari helped to put the DVD in the player while me and Drake didn't even talk. We just looked in each other's eyes and smiled.

*ding dong*

"Oh, that must be Jai. I'll help to open the door." Drake told us.

"Okay."

"I'll be right back." Drake gave me a peck on the lips. He then went downstairs. 

"Wow, you both are going down a fast track, my friend."

"I know. But he's such a gentleman. He asked me whether I could kiss him."

"But you both look so cute together. I wonder what's your ship name. Brake? DraBeth? Drake Beth?"

"ARI!" Jai shouted.

"JAI!" Ari shouted.

Ari ran to Jai's arms and he twirled her around. After twirling her around, he leaned in on her and gave her a short, but passionate kiss. It's like they haven't been together for so long.

Ari pressed play on the remote and the movie started. Drake took my thick blanket and he wrapped me around his arms with the blanket to keep me warm because I was really cold, freezing, actually. I leaned my head on his shoulder and all I coul feel was love. I think I was in love. He kissed me on my forehead and I felt like the happiest girl in the world.

And yea. That's my story. But then I was leaving and we had our last kiss and hug. And I left. Mom was there and Dad too. They were both supportive of my relationship and they comforted me when we broke up.

And now, there's Niall. Our date is coming but I don't know what to do.
