Class 1-B's Ace

How Can We Win!?

Decided to split up the exams into two chapters. Since there was ten I figured that one chapter would feel too long, with the next being way too short. In this chapter I will skip over the 7th and 8th exam as the 9th will have a quick overview and the 10th will see Cry and Monoma facing off against Mt. Lady. The exams I decided to skip were Kaibara and Yanagi vs Ectoplasm and Komori and Rin vs Thirteen. Now, with the explanations out of the way, let's finish the end of semester exams! Enjoy! Also, please don't think i'm racist when i'm talking about Shihai Kuroiro's quirk. It's called "Black" and it allows him to move through anything that is the colour black.

The ninth pair to take the exam was Kodai(Quirk: Size) and Kuroiro(Quirk: Black). They were pitted against Cementoss. Their exam begun and Kodai ran out ahead of Kuroiro. She ran down the center street for a minute before ducking into a side alley. She and Kuroiro had a plan but it was up to her to make sure they could both pull it off. She was leaning against a wall, looking around a corner to try and spot Cementoss. It quickly became the other way around as she could hear something bubbling behind her. She turned and saw liquid cement moving towards her with Cementoss not too far behind. She backed away and grew in size to about 20 feet tall. Cementoss stopped the cement from moving and walked out to greet Kodai. "Hello child, are you ready to fail this exam?" He asked her. "I'm not going to fail, the only one here who's going to fail is you Cementoss!" She said while attempting to grab him. He backed off and went into a crouching position with his hands on the ground. The cement turned to liquid again and caught Kodai's hand as she attempted to grab Cementoss again. It quickly hardened and Kodai was unable to move her arm. "Then i'll just get you with this one!" She said as she tried to hit his with her other arm. The same thing happened though as the cement caught her fist and stopped her arm from moving completely. "Now to finish you off." Cementoss said as he liquified the the cement beneath Kodai. Her whole body began to sink into the ground and before long, Nothing was left but her head which was sticking out of the ground. "Now to find your partner." Cementoss said. However, as he began to leave Kodai, a buzzer went off signalling that someone had passed through the exit. "So that was your plan. You lured me away from the exit and allowed your partner to easily slip by and pass through exit." Cementoss said as he returned to Kodai and released her from the ground. "Yep, he was able to get by thanks to his quirk. He could go unnoticed as he traveled through all of the black objects around us." She explained to him." "A wonderful strategy and a great example of self-sacrifice from you young hero." Cementoss said as he smiled at her. Kodai and Kuroiro had passed their exam.

Me and Monoma were the only ones remaining who hadn't taken the exam. We knew we were up next so we headed down to the starting area. We weren't able to think of a full plan the entire time we were watching the other exams. The only thing we did agree on is letting Monoma use my quirk abilities with his quirk. His quirk allowed him to copy the abilities of anyone he touches for up to five minutes. "Monoma, if you are going to use my abilities, please be careful. Too much power could end up hurting you. Don't use my plasma and futuresight ability for too long either, they could cause permanent damage to you." I warned him. "No worries, I have my own plan, I won't need your quirk abilities. I'm going to copy Mt. Lady's quirk instead." He said to me as I replied right back. "You do realize that if you do that, you'll grow to be a similar size as her, but you'll end up ripping your costume and pretty much be naked when you grow." 'That shouldn't happen, I did have this costume specially made after all." He said as he showed off his costume in a flashy way. It looked just like an ordinary black and blue tuxedo with a utility belt. I didn't see anything special about it. We continued to argue as we headed towards the exam area. 

We both stood at the entrance to battlegrounds alpha, just waiting for our practical exam to begin. I was worried going into it since Monoma refused to listen to my ideas. A PA system turned on and we could hear Mr. Kan's voice. "Alright, let the final practical exam begin! You have thirty minutes to complete the exam or else you both fail. Good luck!" He said as we both began to run into the battleground. In no time, we could see Mt. Lady at the other entrance growing in size. She finished growing, to about 200 feet tall and began running at us. I grabbed Monoma by his costume's collar and pulled him into an alleyway. "We need to keep our distance and catch her off guard." I explained to him. "No, I need to get close enough to touch her and copy her quirk, then you can run to the exit." He explained back. Mt. Lady caught up to us and reached her hand down the alley. "Come here kids! It's no fun if you just run away!" She said as she almost grabbed Monoma. We continued to run down the alley, rounding a corner but being stopped by a dead end. I sprouted my wings and grabbed Monoma's arm. I'll fly us out of here. Hold on, I may need to take evasive maneuvers so we don't get caught by Mt. Lady." I said to him. He quickly responded and said, "How about you fly out of here and create a distraction while I copy her quirk and stop her." He said to me. I gave up and just said "Fine, but if you get caught, this was your plan." I said as I took off and exited the alleyway. Mt. Lady saw me and attempted to grab me out of the air. "Looks like it's time to swat some flies! Come here so I can hit you!" I evaded her hands and could see Monoma exiting the alley, reaching for her heel. He touched her and backed away from her leg. "Now Mt. Lady, what will you do against someone the same size as you!?" He yelled as he began to grow. However, as I predicted, he began to rip his costume the more he grew. "AAAHHHH! My costume is ripping! Crap, this was a bad idea!" He yelled as Mt. Lady turned around to face him. She bent down to grab Monoma as he was more concerned with his costume ripping. He returned to normal size but wasn't able to react quick enough as Mt. Lady grabbed him with her left hand. Monoma couldn't do anything now as he was unable to move in her grip. I was the only one who could save him, so I soared toward Mt. Lady. I generated 40,000 psi into my left arm and prepared to strike Mt. Lady in the face. She turned and faced me, speaking at the same time. "Don't think I forgot about you!" She said as she lifted her right arm into the air and sent it crashing down on my. I went to block her attack with my arm but it was too powerful and she drove me into the ground. She lifted her fist back up to see if I was still able to fight. I was able to land on my feet and soften the blow thanks to the psi into my arm. I was about to take off again but she lifted her right foot up and tried to stomp on me. I generated psi into both of my arms and went to guard myself from her attack. However, this attack was much stronger than the punch she had just hit me with. She broke through my defense and flattened me into the pavement as she stepped on me. I was alright but I was unable to move. I could just barely move my hands as I made them face the bottom of her foot. I attempted to lift her foot off of me but it wasn't budging. "I can't get her off of me! I can't lose here!" I thought to myself as I was struggling to move Mt. Lady's foot. "And that's what you two get for running from me!" Mt. Lady yelled as she raised her hands in victory, still holding Monoma in her hand. The PA system turned back on and Mr. Kan made an announcement. "Both Monoma and Cry are immobilized. Mt. Lady is-"  Mr. Kan said as he was about to call the result of the exam. I shouted from the top of my lungs from underneath Mt. Lady's foot, "NO! WE ARE NOT DONE YET! WE'RE GONNA PASS THIS EXAM!"

I wasn't letting us fail this exam, so I decided, even though it was incredibly risky, to generate my full power into my arm muscles. My arms, powered up to 150,000 psi slowly began to lift Mt. Lady's foot off of the ground. "I'm not giving up! I'm not failing this exam! I'm going to be a hero! i'm going to be number one!" I yelled as I got back onto my feet, still lifting Mt. Lady's foot. I gave it a shove and made her lose balance. She lifted her foot into the air and I was able to catch my breath. Monoma yelled to me, "Cry, if you're going to do something, do it now. She's about to regain her balance!" He said but it was too late. Mt. Lady landed her foot and was standing there, towering over me. "What do you think you can do? We've already seen that I can overpower you, and I don't think you'll be able to make it to the exit. Admit it, you've lost!" She yelled as I clenched my fists. "If you think you can take me down, I'd like to see you try! Hit me with your best shot!" I yelled back to her as I generated my whole body with 150,000 psi. "Fine then, i'll just have to squash you like before!" She said as she prepared to punch me with her right fist. I readied my right arm as well as she thrusted her fist down at me. Both of our hands met but I was able to stop hers dead in her tracks. Her attack not even flinching or sliding me against the ground. "I told you, i'm not losing here, now let my classmate go!" I said with fire in my eyes. "Like hell i'll let him go! I'll just have to hit you harder, that'll teach you!" She said as she readied to punch me with her right fist again. With the psi still generating in my body, I prepared to jump. She threw her fist at me but I jumped out of the way and then up into the sky. She attempted to intercept with her left arm while still holding Monoma but I was able to dodge her. I then stopped in midair, I was eye-level with her. I readied my right arm, psi flowing through it. She tried to raise her right arm to stop me but it was too slow. I yelled, "WE WILL PASS THIS EXAM AND BECOME HEROES!" and made contact with the side of her face. The force from my punch was so great it made her lose balance again and caused her to fall over on her back. While she was falling, her grip on Monoma loosened and he was able to free himself. She landed on her back and did not get up. I however, landed on my feet. I was about to walk over to Monoma who landed a few feet away from me when I looked to my right arm. I began to tear up as I saw there were chunks of my arm missing. It looked like a shark bit off several parts of it. I cried out in pain but I tried to stop since I knew the exam wasn't over yet. I had to finish it and get to the infirmary as soon as possible before I lost too much blood. I walked over to Monoma and didn't speak a word. We then walked over to the still giant Mt. Lady and pondered on how we could cuff her. She was too big for them to fit on either her hands or her feet. We eventually walked over to her head and cuffed strands of her hair. I was about to pass out from blood loss, and as was about to faint, I could just hear the PA system turn on. "Congratulations to Cry and Monoma for completing the practical exam!" It said as I blacked out.
