-Your POV-
I was awoken by the annoying beeps of my alarm clock. It seemed any other morning. A fresh Wednesday.
I woke up and got changed into my f/c Nike hoodie with some black leggings. While combing out my h/l (hair length) hair I went down stairs.
Mom was sitting at the table with dad. She looked sadder than normal. Maybe it was the way the light shinned on her now; All I know is my mum isn't the mum that raised me. She always smiled and her eyes could light her way through a cave... Now all I can noticed of her is her dark circles that just sit there like an obedient dog.
"Y/n.. Sit." Dad tilted his head to a chair next to him. I kept my brush in hand still brushing. "What did I do this time?" I simply asked. "Nothing," Mom's lips moved so quickly. Her accent extra thick today, "We have to tell you something. It's important." I nodded.
Awaiting for whatever they were going to tell me. Something serious had to be up, they would usually tell me at night. But while I'm getting ready for school?
"You aren't going to school today." Dad's eyes had no expression. His stone cold gray eyes pierced through me. I was kind of relieved. anything to get out of school... Or that's what I thought.
"Why am I not going to school? Death in the family?" I looked at my dad, then my mom till finally one of them spoke. "No, no one died. Your going to the army." my mom had been crying slightly, causing her thick british accent.
I freaked out. I had never agreed to being in the army. I was going to die! Guarantee! "I can't go to the army! I'm a girl!" My heart raced and my throat started clogging up. I didn't wanna go away from mum or dad.
"They have training there. You'll be just fine. You have always been a strong kid. You'll do great." Dad tried to cheer my up, nudging me a bit and smirking. "Plus with you being in the army, we will get money! We won't be suffering anymore!" Mum added, she was probably just trying to cheer herself up too.
"You're going to put me through the suffering so you can be living the high life?! I dont wanna do this! I'm not going to do this!" I slammed my fist on the table. I was mad, anytime now hot streams would start to leak out of my eyes.
"Yes. You are. You don't have a choice. We already filled you out and they want you to head your way there today. Go pack clothes." Dad's voice was so low. He got up and walked into the living room to go look at some magazines.
I stomped my way upstairs. I had no choice. This was probably the scariest thing that's happened to me.
I was in my middle teenage years 16 turning 17. I packed all my favorite clothing. All ranging from sweat pants and sweat shirts to leggings in sports bras. It was a army after all.
Non to say the less I was pretty active. One of the best (Cheerleader, basketball player, tennis player, etc.) on the team. I did a year in track. So speed is something I could do.
I stocked up on girl products that I would need during my time there. Hopefully they actually would let me go by some things if I ran out.
I came downstairs with my almost exploding suitcase. I didn't know if we were going to be allowed to have our phones but I sneaked mine in along with a charger under everything.
"I'm ready.." I looked over to my mom with tears streaming down her face. act sad now I thought.
"We just called an uber for you. They'll be here any minute to drive you to the air port. Here's your plane tickets." he handed them to me.
Norway. Bloody.. NORWAY! They must've been desperate to send me out to not even put me on our army!
About a 19 hour flight.. Good thing my phone was charged.
Beeping from outside my house occurred. I gripped my suitcase and gave my parents a hug, walking out the door to my uber. This was going to be a journey.
