Chapter 47

(Y/N) POV

Today was finally Hyunjin's day meaning it was coming to an end, this seemingly endless cat and mouse game I have dragged on for far too long... After today this is going to come to an end. I looked at myself one last time in the mirror before I left the apartment bidding Jihyo goodbye as she fangirled over me. 

"YOU GO GET YOUR MAN!", She exclaimed far too excited for what is there to come. 

As soon as I stepped out of the apartment I saw a bouquet of flowers laying down on the floor in front. I picked it up and took a sniff before I saw a note that was wedged inside the flowers. I just opened it and it read: 

Hey, hopefully, you're having a great morning so far...

It's going to get better! 

Can't wait to see you soon~

Cute I thought, as I finished reading the note as if it was planned Hyunjin appeared from his apartment greeting me with a warm smile. I could see faint dark circles under his eyes, the dark circles were splotchy and very patchy like as if Hyunjin used something last minute to cover them up but didn't have time to blend it out enough. 

I opened up my bag and got out a wet tissue and approached Hyunjin who was giving me a sceptical look. I just quickly squished his cheeks so he couldn't move and started rubbing under his eyes and I was right he was covering up his dark circles. 

"Looks like someone has been staying up really late?", I looked sternly at Hyunjin.

"What no, I usually have dark circles", he tried convincing me which didn't work.

"So when did you stay up till", I asked.

"Like o-one am", Hyunjin stutters. His lying. 

I just gave him the unimpressed look and that made him spill.

"Ok, fine I was up till 5 am", Hyunjin stated and looked at the ground. 

"And why is that?", I asked intimidating him by leaning in towards him.

"I- Uh was trying to perfect this date", He shyly admitted. Something I also like about Hyunjin, his adorable when his shy. 

"So what do you have installed for us today? and if you're too tired and there is driving involved I can drive.", I offered and got rejected immediately. 

"Let's go we have got quite a bit to do today", Hyunjin led me to the elevator and pressed the underground parking level button.

After a short conversation in the elevator, I found myself inside Hyunjins car as he starts the engine. Hyunjin and I non stop talked until we reached this small shop that was small and had the smell of coffee just radiating from it.  The shop was very antique and aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

As I entered the cafe the barista guy greeted us and gave me a gentle smile followed by a wink. I could sense hyunjin tensing up as he grabbed ahold of my hand and intertwined our fingers together and lifting my hand up into the air showing off to the barista. 

We sat down in the corner and a wait staff came and took the order, Hyunjin was just looking at me dreamily and he stared deep into my eyes. 

"Is there something on my face?", I asked curiously why he kept staring at me. 

"Perfection." he blurted and my face burnt up.

During our breakfast at the cafe, Hyunjin kept blocking me from making eye contact with the barista which was adorable because I was looking at him the whole time. During that time Hyunjin and I talked non stop and we were constantly laughing a bit too loudly making people give us weird looks. 

I waited outside the cafe because Hyunjin was so persistent that he would pay, to the point where he dragged me outside and quickly ran inside to pay. I was waiting outside for Hyunjin, he came outside holding a bulky brown paper bag and an iced coffee in his hands with two straws. I gave him a confused look.

"It's for us because we are going to be travelling quite a bit today, just in case you get thirsty or hungry on the way I got us an iced coffee and some muffins", Hyunjin clarifies. 

We go into the car and Hyunjin started the engine to his car and the chattering began, it was so comforting to know we could talk about anything together because our interested were really similar. For a majority of our car ride, we talked about my work and where I want to be at in a couple of years. It was simple. I see myself travelling the world seeing and experiencing things that one could not by just staying in Korea. 

I also hoped to see myself in the future with a boyfriend... 

An hour flies by as we keep talking when suddenly the car comes to a halt and Hyujin starts backing up getting out of the car and opening the door for me like a gentleman. I looked around mystified and happy, in bold, there was a sign that stood high up saying 'Welcome to Everland'.

No wonder we drove for so long... Everland is like an hour and a half away from Seoul. Without hesitation, Hyunjin grabbed ahold of my hands and slowly guided me towards the entrance where he decided to pay before I could even pull out my purse. I wanted to pay for a bit of the fee in both of the dates but Seungmin planned it out so I couldn't even spend a dollar. And now here was Hyunjin who physically blocked me from paying. 

I searched through my wallet and pulled out some cash when Hyunjin came back and presented it to him earning a confused look from him. 

"This is for the park tickets". I said trying to hand over the money which he rejected and push my hand back to me. 

"I asked you out on this date so its only fair if I pay for everything." 

"You know it's really okay, I can pay too.", I replied.

"Maybe next time... if there is a next time", Hyunjin gave me a weak smile. 

After our time at the park, it was 9 pm when the park closed, we stayed for the fireworks and parade and it was all so beautiful. The rides were really enjoyable too. Now we were in the car on our way back to our apartments. 

"Why Everland?", I asked.

"Well... because when we were in high school I wanted to come here with you but you left, so I wanted to make up for five years I lost with you", Hyunjin confess and I kissed his cheeks because I was so happy. 

The day ended with me making out with Hyunjin in front of my apartment door, leaving me flustered and in a bit of a pickle.
