The whole time they were talking, all I could feel from Courtney was nothing, absolutely nothing. I've been in to two different people and they've all felt something, whether it be pain, sadness, joy, anger, etc. Courtney has a lock in her heart keeping Sophia away but at the same time near. Courtney called the prison Sophie's dad is locked in and asked if he received terrible news, but the guy at the end of the line just said no without any checking. Courtney figured out Sophie's whereabouts there and then. We went outside and hailed a cab towards a cemetery. When Courtney got into the cab, she took out her phone and talked, but there's no one at the end of the line. It's a decoy, apparently, Sophie isn't really visible to others.

"Why didn't they contact your father?" Courtney said while staring out the window with her phone on her right ear.

"I dunno" Courtney curious at her response turned to look at her. She's just playing with her fingertips and gradually looked Courtney

"Okay, I get it, you don't care" Now here's the thing, Courtney sounds like the person who cares but deep down, being someone in her, she doesn't.

"As do you" She just stared right into my eyes, Courtney's eyes

"What do you mean?"

"I've been thinking for quite a while, you're not the type of person to care, you'll set boundaries between you and your patient, and you will always keep it professional. The only reason you kept me from walking out your door is that you're witty and all sorts. I was an extremely unique sight for you, and you just had to figure me out. You observe and you conclude, just like that. You already figured I'm not that sensitive for you to beat around the bush so you told me my whole story in less than 30 seconds. You're fast, less than half an hour ago, I was about to go nuts at you for being so cruel about my past, but then here we are now, in a cab, heading to my grave"

Courtney didn't say anything, but I can feel her face forming a smile. That's when I felt it, relief.

"Finally, does that mean I can drop being someone who cares?"

"You can drop being a therapist, we're out of your clinic anyway, plus, my hour session just finished 2 minutes ago" Courtney checked her watch and it's already 3PM.

"Honestly, I just really want to get rid of you" Ouch, but I don't feel her thinking so

"Liar"

"Oh, did we switch positions? An hour ago, I was the one calling you a liar" She turned to look at Sophie, astonished.

"I was in character" Sophie says with oozing luxury, leading Courtney laughing a bit. She has a nice laugh. But then I think the driver noticed Courtney being weird so he sped up. Courtney looked outside the window again to make things less awkward.

"Let me try reading you, Courtney" Instead of answering first, she thought for a bit and there I felt confidence, probably because Courtney thinks she's not easy to read. But then a hint of fear, because Sophie was able to decipher what she has been doing for the past hour.

"Go ahead, you have time till we arrive anyway"

"Okay, you were boring before" The first statement made Courtney squint in confusion. Boring?

"Very responsible and tidy, follows the rules all the time, ethical, maybe even religious. But then you grew up and realized that your life IS boring. So you tried to get wild but then it didn't really help. So long story short, the ending is when you turned practical and will probably die practical"
