13. What The Hell Are We Doing

"Ok, so what's the plan?" Julien asked.

"Simple. We get up into the mountains and go through the passage. I'll sniff us out and into Hell's devil nest. At least that's what I call that monstrosity. Oh and I should probably mention that once I become a dog, I don't know if I'll be able to turn back for a while."

"Mountains! It's so cold there!" Lynn and Jimin whined.

Julien and and Riley hugged Jimin and Lynn.

"Don't worry, we'll keep each other warm!" Julien pumped a fist in the air.

Riley nodded before getting back to the important things, "What do we do about Jimin? She can't exactly use her powers, can she? And what are we gonna do?"

"Well, Ms. Riley! I have answers to both of those terrific questions!" Isadora dramatized, "First of all, we need to unlock Jimin's wonderful powers. Second, remember those hunters you guys encountered after going to the market? Well, they're Hell's lackeys! To be honest, no one really knows exactly where they're from, or even if they're human!"

Everyone shuddered at the thought of these man-like beings possibly being something less human.

"So, how is Jimin gonna unlock her ability?" Heiwa asked.

"Well, I have an idea that may work, or it could simply backfire," Isadora shrugged.

Everyone looked at the younger to continue.

"Ok, so I'll turn back into a dog and she can hold onto me. Maybe the power will transfer to her and unlock her power. Jimin won't die, but I'm not sure what could possibly happen to her."

Julien was quick to reject the thought the minute it had to do with Jimin hurting herself. Maria calmed him down as best as she could before Isadora got his attention once more.

"I'll take Jimin outside so we don't blow up the hut. I don't know how bad the energy transfer can possibly get..."

Isadora grabbed Jimin by the arm and walked out. It was funny to see a girl half their size marching out of the room like she owned the place. Once Jimin and Isadora were out, Isadora held her hands out.

"It may burn, but it's all in your head ok? You'll be completely safe," Isadora studied Jimin countenance to make sure she was ok with what was gonna happen. When she saw Jimin was somewhat ready, she began to transform back. The light appeared once again. Isadora was used to the pain, but she was worried about Jimin. She looked at Jimin and saw that she had her eyes tightly shut, tears running down her face. Once Isadora was finished transforming, she landed on the ground. She rubbed against Jimin's legs and Jimin opened her eyes.

"I think I feel something."

Jimin moved her hands. She willed a small flame on her hands. A flicker appeared, but startled Jimin causing it to go out again. She groaned and looked towards the door of the hut. Her friends were running out. Emmalynn ran over to Isadora and scooped her out. She looked at the puppy and buried her pink face in Isadora's fur. Maria laughed to which Heiwa smacked her on the back of the head. Julien on the other hand, ran over to Jimin and held her by the shoulders.

"Are you ok? Did you get hurt? Burned?"

"I'm fine," Jimin chuckled, "I'm just fine."

"So how'd it go?" Varun asked.

"To be honest, I found that I can create flames, but I sorta got nervous and it died out quickly..."

"Jimin! I wanted to see it!" Maria whined.

"She's not some sort of unique species, Maria! She's human!" Varun scolded.

"I never called her an animal! I just said I wanted to see the flame!"
