*Spoilers for Cobalt's Shadow*
"Wilhelm, you do realize how stupid this idea is right?" A man with short brown hair, and blue eyes wearing a combat vest, camo cargo pants, and with a sword on his waist stated to a taller man with short grey hair, wearing a combat vest and jeans. The two men were currently in the cargo hold of a plane.
"Of course, I realize William. But, this is our best option at stopping this before it gets out of control." The grey-haired man known as Wilhelm replied, causing William to shake his head in disbelief.
"You're thinking about leveling the entire border with Dusselbaden and two major cities." William stated causing Wilhelm to grin.
"It'll get their attention though, that's what we'll need to do take the heat off of Cobalt." William sighed in response and sat down on a bench and looked to Wilhelm.
"I really want to say there's a better way, but if I'm being honest I sort of want to do this." Wilhelm smiled and tapped a large crate in the middle of the hold. The crate was sitting ready to be pushed out of the plane whenever ready.
"William, with this it'll be easy." The grey-haired man said still smiling, and William stood up and grabbed a parachute and put it on. Wilhelm then did the same, before leaving to go to the cockpit. William then sighed again before speaking to himself.
"This better be worth it." After a short while Wilhelm came back into the hold and smacked the button to open the cargo hold. He then looked to William with a grin.
"It's time to get this show on the road." Wilhelm stated as the Air pressure changed blowing dust around. He then charged the crated pushing it to fall out of the hold before diving out after it. William smiled while shaking his head as he casually walked out of the plane.
William immediately dived down to catch up with Wilhelm who was bellow arms outstretched watching the crate fall. Wilhelm turned to glance at William once he caught up.
"Why doesn't the crate have a parachute?" William shouted hoping that Wilhelm could hear over the sound of the rushing wind.
"Watch this!" Wilhelm shouted as the crate burst apart with a couple hundred thin four-foot-long blades from the inside out. The blades then congregated below Wilhelm and William in a flowerlike pattern with a space in the middle for the two of them to fall through. The two men then dived through the floating blades, after passing by them the blades started following Wilhelm.
William shook his head before motioning to Wilhelm about pulling his parachute. Below a forest was starting to get closer rapidly. Wilhelm nodded and William pulled the handle to release his chute the parachute then flew back only to get cut by one of the blades following Wilhelm. Both men look to each other for a moment before William yelled over the wind.
"Don't worry about me! I'll be fine!" William yelled as wisps of blue flame started flaking off his body before covering William's entire body with flames, he then went into a dive heading straight to the forest. William flew into the forest and everything slowed down, leaves were barely rustling in the wind, and William slowly maneuvered in the air so that his feet would hit the ground. Time then resumed as he hit the ground rolling in a ball of blue flames, the flames then died down to only wisps as he stood up from the roll. William then stretched as the flames consumed the areas of his body that took most of the impact. Once William was done stretching the flames were all gone and there wasn't a single injury on William. He looked up to see Wilhelm approach and land.
"You okay?" Wilhelm asked taking off his parachute, William just glanced at him and sighed.
"I'm okay, didn't expect to almost die today but other than that I'm good." William said in a deadpan. Wilhelm then smiled and laughed, he walked over to William slapped his back.
