I left the house alone the next day. Sakura had went to the hospital rather earlier than usual. It saddened me for a bit, just a bit.
I sighed at the fact that I'd have to see her today. Hyuuga, Hi-hi- oh whatever her name is. It's not that important to remember.
I pulled up into my designated parking spot and walked in tiredly into my office.
I came in to see a grinning Itachi.
My eyebrow raised, my right one.
"Hey." I said beginning the conversation, that was rare.
"Sasuke."
"That's my name, don't wear it out."
He sighed, "You're not going to break my good mood,"
"I wasn't trying to."
"Just make a good impression,"
"For what? She's the one here for the job," I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah but," he paused for a second, "Just make a good impression and don't be a dick. Is that too much to ask?"
"Hai, hai, can you leave now?"
"Whatever,"
I started to file some papers once Itachi left. The clicking of my fingers on the keyboard soothed me.
The door swung open.
I snapped, "ITACHI, WILL YOU JUST GET OUT MY GODDAMN-"
I found a girl covering her face with a book and shaking in fear.
She quickly ran back outside, I was in no mood for this.
Naturally, I went outside to find the girl running down in the hallways.
Of course I wouldn't go after her, not one thought of it. I would've simply went back into his office and continued filing.
But for some odd reason, I did. That's right, I felt my legs moving down the rows of offices following the running girl.
I caught up to her, "STOP!"
Immediately her body stiffened. I could've sworn when she turned around there was a noise. It sounded like a door which needed oil.
"H-hi..." she faced me and my eyes widened.
Obviously this girl in front of me wasn't human. She was way too soft, way too tiny, her hair was way too long, and her skin was way too pale.
I paused at her eyes, they were white. No, gray, maybe cream? Color me curious.
I walked closer to her and she stepped back a bit. I walked closer, and closer and closer and closer. Until I was in front of her and she was looking up at me.
Her eyes were huge, how can I not find out the color of them?
"Lavender..." I heard her mutter. She was now looking at my shoes. "My e-eye color is l-lavender.."
"How did you-"
"I figured."
I let out a sigh and rubbed my temple, "Hyuuga. You're the Hyuuga who's my assistant right?"
"Ano.. y-yes.."
I turned around and started walking away, "Get me coffee by 15, I'll be in my office."
"On it!"
There was a pause and a faint voice, "Wait! Where is your office!"
I pretended not to hear her and internally smirked to myself. Told ya Itachi... she'll never last.
