Operation Dark Prevalence (A Delta Rune AU)

Prologue

Kyle: this is basically what needs to be done... Are we all clear?

Eric: okay, so just to reiterate, the sequel to the game, Undertale, Delta Rune, has a hidden secret. This secret then is apparently the key to finding a better understanding of the Dark, a power we have yet to understand right?

Kyle: yes, so in the first round of the simulation, try to not use Dark too much, that goes for the four of you entering, understand? Locate the fountain, and await instructions after that. Inform them, you will be in charge of this operation.

Eric: anything else we need to know?

Kyle: watch out for the enemies, they're going to be a lot tougher than what they were originally programmed to be.

Eric: Can we kill them?

Kyle: no, we're trying to get a pacifist ending, you may subdue them through other means, try to be as nice as possible.

Eric: well alright. We'll get it done.

Kyle: Eric, I want you to remember what's at stake here, we don't have that long now to prepare ourselves for the coming storm, make this count.

Eric: don't worry yourself too much, just focus on keeping us alive while we're in there.

Kyle: will do.

<Eric walks towards the exit, stops, and looks back at Kyle>

Eric: we've been through a lot haven't we? Seems like yesterday we were just recruits in Team Frost V.

Kyle: yeah, we should hold a reunion party next week for the team. Spend some time with each other.

Eric: yeah while we're at it, you can gonna finally ask her out?

Kyle: nah man... She's a little out of my league.

Eric: actually she's a lot out of your league, but you should still go for her anyways.

Kyle: thanks man... That's very reassuring.

Eric: I'm kidding man. I reckon you have a good chance, and what better opportunity to talk to her again than when she comes to our reunion? She's got a busy schedule but I have no doubt that she'll come.

Kyle: yeah yeah whatever man... Don't you have a job to do?

<Eric begins to walk off>

Eric: just saying man... You can't chicken out this time!

And so begins anew, a journey to achieve greatness... I wonder how far will you and your brother will go...
