i felt the adrenaline surging through my body, butterfly's in my stomach and my palms were getting super sweaty through my gloves. there's only four laps and I was stuck in second place, behind Christopher Bell. Right when I think I'm about to take him, I end up not. It's been touch and go. For the fast few laps we've been passing each other up, but my car got lose, causing Bell to pass me up and be ahead of me by a second.

Usually this speedway, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, is the most toughest track to be on for me. I always have a string of bad luck here. Every since I got into the Nascar Xfinity Series, this track has been my worst. I either crash, my car malfunctions, bad pit stop, or something else. But this race.. this race will be different. I always get top ten or five places, but today...today is the day I'll get my first win in the Xfinity Series, the first woman driver to win in the Xfinity Series.

and i'll be getting my first win at the track I suck at the most, which I think is the best first win in my book.

I pressed my gas petal harder, even though it won't do anything seeing as I'm going the max speed limit of my car. I was getting too anxious, I had to be careful. One wrong move and I could crash into the wall or spin around. I can't screw this up, not when I'm so close.

"Red Flag is out."

I furrow my eyebrows, but started slowing my speed when I noticed the red flag waving up above. "What? Why?"

"Six and two crashed which caused them to wipe out almost the entire field below place eleven." My spotter, Joel Ray, explains. My eyebrows furrow once more and I go to open my mouth when he cuts me off, explaining what I was going to ask him. "It's pretty bad, if that's what you're going to ask. Few cars on fire, few in the grass, against the walls. Luckily, some bad it out okay. Some without a scratch. It just happened and the clean up crew it out along with the officials."

"Officials say they might add an extra lap or two and go into over time since we are two laps to go" My crew chief, Ethan Rowan chimes in.

My heart skips a beat when I heard 'pretty bad.' "Joel, Ethan, is Chase okay." I knew my boyfriend of five years haven't been doing very good this race. His pit stops were horrible and his car was just slow, so when my spotter nor my crew chief replied, I automatically thought the worse. "Oh god, please don't tell me he's dead." I cry.

For a few seconds it was silent, until Ethan comes in. "Briscoe is okay. Just finished talking to his crew chief."

I sigh in relief and waited for Ethan to give me more information, but it went radio silence. I mentally roll my eyes, aware of the camera in the car. "Ethan, what happened with Chase."

"He slammed into the back of two when two crashed into six. But he's okay. He got control of his car and it currently in pit road getting it fixed. His crew chief says he can stay out."

I sigh in relief once more, resting my arm over my steering wheel. Bell was right besides me, his car's nose out in front a little more. This restart, could definitely help me if I get a good start.

A few minutes passed and I was getting more anxious as time went on. My fingers tapping against my thigh. I lifted up the dark sun visor, seeing as I wont need it anymore. I glanced through my mirror to see my teammate, Noah Gragson, behind me. I prayed to God he would give me that little push.
