Finding the real Khloe

Hormonal Hell

Josh, Angela and Christina are in my homeroom and I try to steer clear of the it girls by sitting with Josh. He's really nice to me as always and he is really funny. I totally understand why Lara is so in love with him.

We receive our timetables and I see that all the teachers that taught me in the previous year were still teaching me.
"Lara says she's going to try and get you to parcitipate in sports. Are you going to do it?" Josh says folding his timetable and placing it in his back pocket. I squint my eyes at what he just said.
"So she never told you. Good luck. My advice to you is just do what she wants. It's much easier." The bell rings again and he gives me a quick hug before walking away to his first class of the day.

My first lesson was biology which I loved. Lara was in my class and I asked her about the sports thing she shrugged.
"You promised you'd enjoy the year. This is what it takes. You'd be amazing at track and swimming and so many other things but you close yourself off. This year we do things differently." She says as the teacher walks in and starts introducing himself.

A couple of other lessons of teachers introducing themselves and what we are going to be doing in their classes this year. Lunch finally comes around and I have to find Lara, Josh or Liam. I used to sit in the library at lunch time with a good book and my packed lunch. Or under the bleachers, listening to music and doing my homework but now i have to sit in the cafeteria. Yes you heard right. Lara and Josh were the royalty of the cafeteria crowd. I walk to the entrance of the cafeteria nervously  and stand at the door looking around. I could see Lara and Josh already inside surrounded by a lot of other kids I met this morning and I couldn't walk in.

I took a deep breath as I went over my options. Walk in alone and walk over to the biggest crowd in there meaning all eyes on me. Turn around and walk to the bleachers and have Lara mad at me after today. At that moment of indecisiveness Sydney walks past me with Angela. She stops and turns to give me a look and sticks out her tongue and continues walking into the cafeteria. I took another deep breath and cross my arms.
"What are you waiting for, Keeks?"I turn to see Liam standing behind me. I explain to him and he chuckles.
"Classic Keeks. Come on, you can walk in with me." He puts his arm around my waist and we walk into the cafeteria together.

I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life. Not because Liams arm was around my waist, that just made me blush. Not because as we passed Sydney and her little friends,she squeezed all the juice out of her juicebox from shock. I felt uncomfortable because every single person in the cafeteria turned their heads and look at Liam and I and their eyes stayed on us.
"Welcome to the cafeteria Keeks." Liam says in my ear causing me to giggle. When we finally reach Lara and the entire group she takes my arm and Liam takes the other. Josh laughs as he takes a seat and watches. Liam kisses my forehead gently and releases my arm causing me to blush furiously. Lara takes me and most of the other girls to the  cafeteria line. I get two pizza slices and a soda and walk back to the table with this girl with a piercing in her lip and blue hair. She looked scary but she was super nice to me.
"So you and Lee huh?" She says raising her eyebrows twice. I choke on air and shake my head. She laughs hysterically.
"Oh god no." I say and she takes a seat at the table still laughing.
"Oh well, you two would be very cute." She says eating her fruit salad. I take the seat beside her and take a bite from my pizza and offer her some.

"Oh no Khloe, I'm vegetarian." I open my eyes wide and stop midchew.
"I didn't know that." I say and she waves her hand in the air. I eat my pizza and look around the table. Lara was sitting next to Josh as they shared her lunch, regularly chiming in to the discussion of the table. Liam was sitting at the far end of the table brooding and not eating and I noticed Sydney was now at our table sitting next to Liam. He caught my eye as I was staring at them and I quickly look away.

At the end of lunch the bell rings and I slowly get up and make my way to maths. I enter the class and take out my books and wait for the teacher to come to class.

Are Liam and Sydney back together? Should I even care? Why didn't he look happy during lunch?

Most of the class started walking in and settling in as we all waited for our maths teacher. A young guy who was maybe 25 or 26 walked in to the class. His jawline was impeccable , his hair was amazing, he looked like a god. So basically he was hot and just breathtaking to look at. All the girls in my class sat up a little straighter and tried to get his attention. He put his bag on teachers table that was in front of the class and grabbed the chalk that was on the desk.

He wrote, Mr Ross, on the chalkboard and turned around.
"Hey, I'm Mr Ross. I'm new here so may we all please take turns to say our names, a couple of stuff about your life and answer a random question I ask." He said. A couple of people in the class groan but do it anyway.

I noticed that Brad was in my class as well as one of the Erickson twins. I think it was Lisa. When it was my turn I got up and walked slowly to the front of the class. My heels made clicking sounds everytime I took a step.

"I'm Khloe and my favourite colour is black, I have a younger sister, my best friend is Lara and I'm a game of thrones fan." I say and look to Mr Ross for the random question.
"Hmmm.... Have you ever been to a renaissance fair?" Mr Ross says looking me in the eye. I blink and look away.
"Yes but it was really disappointing." I said and walk back to my chair. The rest of the period is other kids talking so I don't really pay attention.

The afternoon flies by and before I know it school is out. I walk out of the school building to the parking lot and see Liam standing at my car.
"Hey." He says and the whole lunch thing came back to me.
"Hi Liam, what can I help you with?" He shrugs.
"Just wanted to see you before you left." He says helmet in hand.
I smile at him.
"Well you've seen me, so now I'm gonna leave." I say and he gives me a look. I return it and he moves out of my way.

I get into the car, turn on the ignition and drive away leaving Liam in the parking lot with that confused expression on his face.
