A knock on my bedroom door makes me take off my headsets and turn.
"Hey honey. How was the first day?" Dad asks me as he leans against my door frame. Thoughts of Liam, Sydney and Kitty run through my mind.
"Uhmm. It was interesting..." I say and he frowns. I give him a small smile.
"Well, Kitty won't talk to me and now you're not talking. So what gives?" He says. I sigh and run a hand through my hair.
"Look Dad, my problems aren't real but I'll deal with Kitty." I say and he nods.

"I've got to go. Night shift." He says and walks away. I slowly get up and go downstairs to look for Kitty. When I don't find her in the living room, kitchen or outside by the pool I decide to go back upstairs. Her bedroom door was open and she wasn't inside. I walked in and went to her closet where I found her sitting in a corner. Clothing was all over the floor and she was crying.
"Kitty, are you okay?" I say and she quickly wipes tears away.

I look her in the eye knowing that she can't lie to me.
"The girls in my school were really mean to me, but it's not a big deal so you don't have to tell dad." She says. I frown and go sit next to her.
"Honey what did they say?" I pull her into a hug and close my eyes.
"They said that my backpack was not cool and I'm boring and no one wanted to play or sit with me." She said into my sweater I had changed into.  I loudly sighed and put my hand in her hair.
"There'll always be mean people in your life who only focus on the negative stuff. No matter what you have to remember who you are and they won't get to you."

She pulls away and gives me a smile. I return and she gets up.
"Please help me clean my mess?" I nod and we start folding clothing and also pick out her outfit for tomorrow. Since dad wouldn't get back until tomorrow morning we made dinner ourselves and ate without him. Whilst cleaning the dishes with Kitty, my phone rang.

"Hello?"
"Did I do something wrong?" Liam's voice says.
"Why would you think you did something wrong?" I say
"You were acting weird after school, in the parking lot."
I sigh.
"Liam, I like you but I'm not going to be harassed every single day by Sydney just because I'm your friend."
I hear him take a deep breath.
"Can we talk about this. Face to face?"
I bite the inside if my cheek.
"Sure, tomorrow. After school."
I hang up on him and finish off the dishes.

The following day at school and I'm trying not to start any drama or get on the wrong side of the it girls. The last girl that dared to mess with them landed in hospital, so you can see why I don't want to do that.

With Kitty feeling more confident about making friends on her second day, I'm confident that I'll beable to be a normal, social teen this year.

I walk up to Lara, who was staring at her phone.

"Hey, you weren't online last night?" I say to her and she gives me a small smile.

"Sorry, I thought you knew. Last night was date night." I facepalm and nod.

Lara had been super excited for this date night, she had been talking about it for days and I forgot.

I'm an awful friend.

"It slipped my mind. I was just dealing with Kitty drama...." I say and she smirks.
"Don't forget Liam drama as well. He says you're ignoring him." I roll my eyes.

"Let's talk about Liam later. The walls have ears." I say looking around like a spy and she laughs.

She takes my arm and we walk to our lockers. She opens her locker and hands me a bag.

"I knew you would forget so I packed you clothes to change into. For trials today." She says and I smile. I place the bag into my locker and get my maths books.

I turn back to Lara and see her making out with Josh.

"Seriously, where did you even come from!" They both laugh and he pats my head.

"Heard you made my homeboy cry." Josh says wrapping his arms around Lara's waist. I roll my eyes and hold my books to my chest.

"I did not. He's not capable of human emotion. Or atleast I don't think he is, I don't know him well enough." I say.

The bell rings ending our conversation. I turn my back on them and make my way to my maths class.

When I got to class I noticed that most of the seats upfront were already taken by the girls in my class so I walked all the way to the back in the corner and took a seat.

"Hey guys, settle down. Now today we have to start with actual work, I realise most of you don't exactly remember much of last year's work so today we're going write a revision pop-quiz." Mr Ross says and the class groans.

"Yeah, I know it sucks but we have to do it." He says holding up his hands.

I get a pen from my bag and my calculator and as soon as I get the quiz I start answering, solving and punching numbers into the calculator. Within 15 minutes I'm done.

I look around and everyone is still busy writting. I get up and walk slowly to the front of the class. I give Mr Ross an awkward smile and place my quiz on his desk.

"That was really fast." He says and I nod. I turn and walk back to my seat. Today i was wearing flats so I knew I wouldn't trip and embarras myself.

Sitting in the back of the class waiting for other kids to finish proved to be boring. I grew very restless and raised my hand after just 5 minutes.

"Yes, Khloe? It is Khloe right?" I nod and lower my hand.
"May I please go to the bathroom?"
"Sure, just take a hall pass with you."

I get up and go to the front of the class once more, collect a hall pass and leave the room.

I push open the bathroom door and see that it is empty. I go into a stall and get my phone out. I didn't really need to use the toilet just needed to get out of class. I see that I have a text from Liam and my dad.

I open my dad's text first.

Dad: did you sort out
the thing with Kitty?

Khloe: Yeah, it was
nothing.💯

I then open Liam's text.

Lee : saw you in the hall.
you look beautiful Keeks

Khloe : you're such a stalker
lol. See you at lunch

I left the stall and stood in front of the mirror. My lips were red, eyebrows shaped and skin was even. I doubt I've ever looked more beautiful in my life. I kinda looked like my mom.

The door to the bathroom opened and Sydney walked in, phone in hand and bitchy aura present.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't the stuck-up man stealer." She says walking closer to me and crossing her arms.
