"I need to pee!!!", Johnny swerved the car in shock from Susie's outburst.

"sorry", her cheeks flushed pink as she whispered her apology.

Laughter filled the car as Johnny's wild eyes caught her embarrassed ones. Susie was gasping for air and clutching her stomach as her need to use the restroom was becoming more of an emergency.

"p-please stop, ah- I need to pee!", She managed to laugh out, clenching her legs together.

Johnny spotted a gas station on the right and quickly switched lanes. He pulled up to the gas pump and Susie burst out of the car running inside and frantically searching for a bathroom.

The older man behind the cash register didn't even bother to look up.

"It's at the end of aisle 4'', he huffed out and continued to flip through a magazine that had a girl with rabbit ears on the front.

Susie took off at the speed of light and locked herself in the dimly lit bathroom, not wasting any time. The bathroom was small with a dim bulb hanging in the middle. The buzzing of the refrigerators lining the back wall filled the silence of the empty gas station.

"Ah - that's better", Susie exited the bathroom taking in the "fresh" air around her.

Johnny stood on aisle 3 smirking at her and collecting snacks. She spotted the goodies in his hands and ran to his side helping him. After both of their arms were full with chips and candy they walked up to the cash register.

The man behind the counter huffed and set his magazine on the counter facing up. Susie stood on her tiptoes to see but not before Johnny set his things on the counter and quickly flipped the magazine over to the girl on the front with bunny ears.

The older man raised his eyebrows and continued checking them out. Johnny moved over so Susie could free her arms.

"Can I get a magazine like that?", Susie peered up at Johnny batting her eyelashes.

Johnny gulped and placed a frown on his face.

"No", His voice was stern but Susie was stubborn.

"But why?, I like her bunny ears, I want some", Susie smiled at the picture and imagined herself in her place.

"Please let me get the magazine", Susie pouted one last time.

"I'm sure he's got some at home", the man smirked at Johnny and Johnny glared at him in return.

"Really!", Will you let me see them when we get home?", Susie grabbed onto his arm, pleading with her eyes.

Johnny ignored her pleas and focused on her use of the word "home", she was referring to his home as hers. Was she really already becoming that comfortable with him?

"Johnny!,pleaseeee", She pouted her lips out like her best friend Marcy taught her when she wanted something she couldn't have.

Susie made a mental note to call Marcy when she got home.

"Huh- yeah uh, whatever'', Johnny brushed her question off and handed over the amount due.

"Keep the change", Johnny smiled and grabbed the bags, hurrying Susie out of the store.

"gee thanks, a nickel", The man grumbled and picked his magazine back up.

"I'm so excited to see what your house looks like", Susie popped a gummy worm into her mouth and daydreamed about her new life.

"Don't get your hopes up kid", Johnny was worried his place wouldn't be up to her standards. He made enough money from selling his artworks to live in a middle class suburb.

The money left in Susie's mother's will to Johnny was more money than he had ever had, including adding all the money he made since he was 16 selling art.

He wasn't sure how to go about the money left to him. Her mother requested he manage it until he felt she was mature enough to take it over. When would that be? 30! And why did she trust him not to steal it?

"I prefer doll", Susie remarked and switched to sour patch kids.

"Huh?", Johnny was still thinking about his new responsibilities.

"I prefe- OH my Gosh!", Susie suddenly screamed and sat up in her seat, frightening Johnny.

Oh gosh she doesn't have to pee again does she?

"I forgot Bubbles!", Susie's face looked horrified like she had committed a crime.

"You forgot your bubbles?", Johnny scratched his head trying to understand her panic.

"I can buy you some more when we get home", Susie rolled her eyes at his confusion.

"No, my cat. His name is Bubbles and I forgot him, ... my baby", Susie slumped back into her seat and pouted.

Johnny couldn't help but laugh at her appearance, she was covered in snacks and pouting like a four year old.

"You named your cat bubbles?", He coughed trying to disguise his laughter.

"Yes, that's my favorite powerpuff girl", She remarked as if he knew what she was talking about.

"Power..puff..girl?", now it was Susie's turn to laugh.

"I'll have to call Margret straight away to make sure she's okay", Susie mumbled to herself, adding another mental note to her list.
