Ebony's POV
I am so in love with Wilson. And as insane as it seems, he's in love with me too.
I'm not super smart or all that pretty, and I'm fat. Why in the world would Wilson love me? He's perfect with his toned, muscled, olive skin and beautiful endless green eyes. He's so smart and funny and kind, and he could have any girl he wanted, but he picked me.
I was a depressed and emotional wreck when he met me, but for some reason he thought I was worth fixing, and he decided to help me pick up the pieces of my shattered self esteem.
We've been together for almost two years now and I have never been so happy in my life. Of course I'm still self conscious, but I'm much better now. Being able to rely on Wilson has definitely helped a lot.
Some people would tell me that I shouldn't be so dependent on Wilson to keep me feeling good about myself because he'll end up betraying my trust, and once again, I would be left completely broken. I trust him though. He thought for some reason, that I was so worth being with to the point where he was willing to go through hell with me just so we could be together. I think that speaks volumes.
Anyways, today Wilson told me to go to a friends house until 6:00 tonight because he's planing something for me. I think he might propose! Don't get your hopes up Ebony, I thought to myself. He loves you, but you've only been together for two years. That's seems like enough time though, doesn't it?
It doesn't matter, I'll just have to wait and see what he's got planned. And until then, I'll be at Jeremy's house.
Jeremy is my best friend and has been for a long time. He tried to be there for me when I was in times of trouble, but we all know how that worked out. I don't hate or resent him though. He did the best he could to help me and I appreciate that.
I'm on my way to Jeremy's right now. It's currently nine in the afternoon (It's actually noon, but I just love my Panic! references), so I still have a while until I can go home to Wilson. I just pulled into Jeremy's driveway. I parked my '69 Beetle in his garage and let myself in the house.
"J!" I called out. "I'm here."
"Be down in a sec!" He shouted back to me. I heard him shuffle around a bit upstairs and then he appeared at the top of the staircase, his black chin length hair dripping water. He must've have just finished with a shower. As soon as he saw me he shouted, "E, it's so good to see you. I've missed you so much!" He ran down the staircase and embraced me in a tight hug. I could feel water from his wet hair dripping on my back so I let go of him.
"We just hung out last week, J. You can't miss me that much already." I said matter of factly.
"Of course I missed you! I miss you everyday you aren't with me," he said enthusiastically.
"Now that's overkill, bud," I said sarcastically.
"Whatever," Jeremy responded. "Now, tell me, do you know what Jeremy is planning for you tonight?"
"Of course not silly, it's a surprise." I answered. "That's whole point of me being here right now."
"And now that you're here, what do you want to do?" Jeremy questioned.
"Video games?" I suggested.
"Video games," he confirmed. We then raced each other downstairs to the game room where we would sit for hours talking and joking and gaming happily.
