Good evening my dear fellows, it's me, ya boy, Cole, with some breathtaking news.
As some of you may know, I was born in America, in Colorado state, and am, therefore, an American citizen.
However, the States disappointed me more than once and because of some boring stuff I don't have the time to discuss, I moved to England. My aunt already lived here, as we have roots basically anywhere on this planet. (My father is half Mexican, my mother has relatives on the British side, it's a huge mishmash of different ethnicities.)
Back to what I was trying to tell you in the first place: I'm starting to love the people in the Kingdom, or at least the ones who live in or around London, because they're extremely queer-friendly! 🌈
Americans were not.
Today, at school, some random guy brought the topic up and the teacher seemed excited. I'd say she had waited her whole life long for this particular moment, in which one of her students asks her to talk about the LGBT+ community.
She showed us some pictures
She brought us lovely sticky notes she had asked her former students to write
She discussed acceptance
And, finally, she linked us that video I successfully put in the medias, called "PRETTY BOY", claiming it was beautiful and totally worth seeing.
Later on, this afternoon, I watched it, since I was curious, and I'm still sobbing. It's 32 minutes long, but time literally flew. I am amazed. I didn't expect the Brits to be like this, nor did I expect that video to be that powerful.
I wouldn't say it's just an impression of mine, as it even won an award, but you're free to develop a different opinion, as long as it's not pure hatred or whatever.
That said, if you have some time to kill, I highly recommend watching that short film. You won't regret it, it's soooo well made!
Colin out. Cheers!
