Both of Cactus Girl's eyebrows raised this time. "You're.. You're..?" she said in a mocking way, crossing her arms and her legs impatiently.
Steve's eyes squeezed shut, and he sucked in a great breath of air. His face was growing redder and redder by the minute. It was not unlike a glistening pool of lava.
    "ITHINKIMIGHTHAVEACRUSHONYOUANDIKNOWTHATSEEMSKINDAWEIRDTOSAYBUTIREALLYREALLYLIKEYOUANDIWANNAKNOWIFYOUFEELTHESAME!"
His eyes were still clamped shut with anxiety, fearing what she would say next.
Her face turned a light shade of pink, not unlike the hue of a cherry blossom tree.
Sarah and Angel Dog watched with glee.
    "I-I'm sor-"
He was cut off by prickly, green arms looping around his neck into a warm hug.
To him, it didn't even hurt a bit.
The two spying girls exchanged an ecstatic glance from behind the scene.
She pulled away, her hands still laced together below his head. She gave a small smile right into his eyes.
"Oh, Steve. You always were a cute one," She took her right hand away from his neck and tapped her pointer finger onto his nose.
His face turned an even brighter shade of red (if it was even possible, Sarah thought his face was gonna light on fire already), and his hands flew to his face in embarrassment.
Cactus Girl laughed a little at the sight.
She then used her free hand to take his left hand down from his face, prompting him to open his eyes slightly, wondering what she was gonna-
She leaned forward and kissed him on the cheek.
Angel Dog and Sarah silently high-fives. This was going better than expected.
He blushed once more, prompting her to giggle again. She was always the one getting dates for her brother- nobody had ever wanted to date her before.
Angel Dog leaned down to Sarah, whispering in her ear. "We should leave soon, you know. Who knows what they're gonna do next?~ Maybe they'll.." she giggled.
Sarah rolled her eyes. Knowing Steve, he'd never wanna go that far with someone. Heck, she couldn't even imagine it happening anytime soon. Much less in a library.
But she believed they should leave nonetheless.
"Let's go," Sarah got up silently and motioned for Angel to follow her as she walked.
"Wait a minute.." Angel Dog questioned as the two girls walked away from the library door.
"What is it?" Sarah asked the troubled dog beside her.
Angel looked her dead in the eye. "How's Gunman gonna react to this?"
Sarah's eyes went wide. "Oh no.."
