You said and I quote "I wish I was as smart as you". Not "you're really good at ". Not "I wish I was good at ". Not "I wish I was smart". "I wish I was as smart as you". By adding those words, you tried, whether you knew it or not, to guilt trip me into feeling bad about being smart. While you may or may not have known, by saying "as you", you are trying to get me to lower my intelligence for you, and I won't stand for that. I will not allow myself to be pushed down by your ineptitude.
