Sasuke notices that Naruto is staring at the stairs like a lost puppy and is unconsciously playing with the ring on his finger as he waits for shikamaru sasuke sighs " he will be down soon Naruto" sasuke says as he observes the room they are in not at all acting like a 4 year old should be
Before Naruto can reply they hear footsteps running down the stairs and running at Naruto giving him a big bear hug making the both fall to the ground 'Naru...' shikamaru says in the mind link as he smells Naruto's scent clinging on to him like he's his life line, shikaku comes down the stairs with a surprised look on his face HIS shikamaru ran and was hugging someone he found this strange since shikamaru found almost everything troublesome even at a young age
Shikaku stares and notices how Shikamaru and Naruto stare at eachother with so much passion almost as if they've known each other for years and have loved each other in the process.
Shikaku Being the Nara he is see's that Sasuke seems to be quite tense as if someone would attack at any given moment and would not hesitate to protect them, He also notice's that there eyes are guarded and look a little Dark shikaku knew those eyes they were eyes of people that had been to war and someone they loved had died 'couldn't be' shikaku thought denying that they could have been to war 'there just kids.. right?' was all he thought.
if only he knew how truly wrong he was, they were no longer kids they were warrior, Ninja that would not hesitate to protect those who they held dear
