(Miranda's POV)
I was playing a card game called "War" with Romeo when a council worker rushed into the guild. I took the two cards I won and the frog went over to Macoa. They conversed for a minute, and Macoa's jaw dropped
He stood up on the bar and shot a purple flame to get everyone's attention.
"Attention! Tenrou Island has been attacked by Acnologia, and everyone who was on the island has died!"
I breathed heavily. Natsu was on that island, and, even though I was too young, I couldn't help but love him. I heard a small crash and a lot of weight was taken off my chest. I went numb and Romeo looked at me strange
"Miranda, your crying. And-"
A tear landed on my hand and it was like black oil
"I'm sorry, I need to go."
I ran out of the guild hall and tried to get to my house in the woods. When I did, I collapsed against the door. I sobbed and I couldn't stop.
I finally calmed down after about an hour of sobbing and started packing my things up. I got a duffle bag and stuffed it to the brim with my clothes. I got a backpack and put some books in it. I waited until midnight before going to the train station. A train pulled in and I bought a ticket.
I got on the train and a boy with black hair was the only other one in the car. I went over to him and asked a question I knew the answer to, "Is this seat taken?"
"No. Go ahead."
I put my bags up and sat next to him
"What's your name?" I asked
"Rogue."
"My name's Miranda. Where are you heading?"
"To the Sabertooth guild. I heard they have really strong members there."
"Mind if I come with you? I used to be a part of Fairy Tail, but..."
"You don't need to say the reason."
(Rogue's POV)
I looked at Miranda and her face was streaked with black. She wiped it off and laid her head back. I got out my blanket and put it over her. The train rocked and Miranda's head landed on my shoulder. I blushed and held her hand. I don't know why, but I wanted to hug her and tell her everything was going to be okay.
A soft smile came upon my face and I leaned against her and let the rocking of the train lull me to sleep
