(Miranda's POV)
I looked at all the bills Sabertooth racked up and sighed
"So, you want to have me pay 10,000,000 jewels worth of bills? Why do you need me to do that?
"Because you're the only one who has tons of money she doesn't know what to do with."
I stood up and slammed Sting's head on the desk, "I will make your death day come sooner."
"Ok!" Sting groaned and I stormed out. I ran out and walked around the town. I hated how he thought he could control everyone now that he was the guild master! If anyone could straighten him up, it would be-
"HEY MIRANDA!" Someone jumped on my back and covered my eyes
"One, two, three, four. Who's the one who could chill anyone to their core?" I smiled
"You remembered!" Valorie said
"Of course I did!" I turned around and hugged her. She laughed and I smiled even bigger
"Listen, I'm sorry, but I didn't come here to mess around." Valorie's voice got very serious
"What is it?" I asked as my smiles faded
"The dark guild, Tartarus is going to launch several attacks on the legal guilds. It will cause a war. And I can't let you fight in it."
"Why not?" I snapped, "What if Rogue dies and I could've stopped it and I WASN'T here to-"
"Miranda, Rogue will survive. But if you stay, your unborn will not."
(Valorie's POV)
Miranda held her stomach and covered her mouth
"It'll die?"
I nodded and gave Miranda a hug, "I know a place where you can stay. No one will hurt you."
Miranda breathed heavily and stood up straight, "Well, lets go."
Miranda's voice was filled to the brim with regret and sadness. She knew she couldn't tell Rogue anything, and it compeletly broke her heart. I can't believe I was doing this to my best friend. I took her hand and I transported us to the Empire.
"You and the child will be safe here."
