It was like any other week but something felt different, Oliver sat at the small oak table in the kitchen as his mind was blank, no ideas came into his mind. He let out a deep sigh as he placed his chin on his hand as he tapped his fingers against the table, his sky blue eyes looking outside trying to get some inspiration.
"Good morning brother Oliver!"
The happy voice of George called as he stood near the entrance of the kitchen.
Turning his head to face George, Oliver smiled kindly as his eyes calmly focused on George.
"Morning George."
Oliver answered.
He then turned his head back forwards as he slightly frowned. Tilting his head, George looked at Oliver as he walked into the kitchen before looking down and seeing that the canvas infront of Oliver was blank.
"Are you okay brother?"
George asked as his ears lowered and his eyes softened in worry. Making a confused sound, Oliver looked back at George and noticed his expression.
"I'm fine George. I just have no ideas."
Oliver said.
Standing up, Oliver kindly smiled before he softly chuckled and gently patted George's head, just managing to reach it. In return, George closed his eyes as he smiled back, letting out a sigh of relief.
Oliver was one to get irritated if he couldn't find inspiration for his artwork.
Walking over to the counter Oliver hummed to himself, as George excitedly followed him behind as his tail wagged.
"What are we having for breakfast big brother Oliver?!"
Excitedly George asked as his ears rose up again.
Chuckling Oliver lent against the smooth wooden side, placing his arm on it also as the bottom part hanged of the table with his eyes closed.
"Pick whatever ya want buddy."
He answered calmly.
This caused George to excitedly clap before he went near one of the cupboards and quickly opened it. Meanwhile, Oliver stood up straight before he walked back over towards the table and packed his brushes and paints away as well as his canvas into his large, bland, jet black leather messenger bag.
Pulling out a a paper bag covered loaf of seeded bread of the cupboard, George looked over at Oliver who hung his bag over the back of the chair he was sitting on earlier and tilted his head again whilst he wondered why Oliver was more silent than usual.
"Do you want anything brother?"
Asked George I'm a quiet voice.
Looking back at George, Oliver lightly shook his head as he picked up a brush and walked over towards the window and gazed out of it, before brushing his dark hair.
"Alright."
Mumbled George before letting out a deep sigh.
He then got two pieces of bread out before closing the paper bag back up and putting it back away, accidently slamming the cupboard door as he did so causing Oliver to slightly jump before looking over at George, putting the hairbrush on the side.
"What is wrong George?"
Asked Oliver with confusion evident in his voice.
Raising a brow, Oliver watched George as he frowned slightly whilst George bent down and opened another cupboard before taking out a white plate and placing it on the side.
"George~ Don't ignore me.~"
Oliver spoke almost tunefully.
As Oliver bent down to get to the level George was at whilst he closed the cupboard door before standing back up and putting the bread quickly on the plate. Oliver watched him as he too stood back up.
"Why are you so quiet today? "
George asked.
Letting out another deep sigh, George walked over to the small table as his eyes trailed down to look at the ground.
"Sorry George. Just ain't feeling talkative."
Honestly answered Oliver as he too walked back over to the table as George placed his plate on it and pulled out a chair before sitting down.
"Thinking of doing anything today?"
Oliver asked as he smiled again.
George took a bite from his slice of bread as his eyes looked up to the left whilst Oliver looked at him with a relaxed but slightly sad expression. There was a minute of almost silence as George ate most of his breakfast and Oliver tapped his fingers on the table whilst waiting for an response with little expression on his face besides boredom.
"Yeah. Why don't we go out somewhere?!"
George asked, trying to come up with an idea.
The excited expression went on George's face as his eyes lit up as he lent against the table, waiting for a response.
"Yeah. Of cause. It'll be a nice change."
Agreed Oliver as he leaned back into his chair and placed his arms behind his head with closed eyes.
"How about the forest? I always wanted to go back there."
George as he picked up his plate and walked over to the sink, staring out of the window with a excited grin on his face and his tail wagging excitedly.
"Sure."
Agreed Oliver as he sat up straight again, placing his arms back on the table and opening his eyes again. Meanwhile, George picked up a medium sized bag and placed it on the table before putting things like wooden cups and bowls in it as well as some apples and a knife and some spoons and tins of soup.
"That should be enough!"
Happily explained George, fastening his backpack up and putting it on his back.
"Don't you wanna coat or anything?"
Oliver casually asked as he stood up and pushed his and George's chairs back in.
"No thank you big brother. I have my fur."
George answered with a smile as Oliver nodded his head once as he lightly chuckled and picked up a small, light waterproof coat and unzipped George's backpack, placed it in and then zipped it back up.
"Are we ready?"
Excitedly asked George as he started to run towards the door with wide glistening eyes and a large grin with it. Relaxed, Oliver followed George behind with his hands in his pocket as he calmly smiled.
"Let's go bro."
Oliver said whilst George opened up the door and ran outside as he giggled.
'He sure is excited.'
Oliver thought to himself as he watched George, walking out of the house before closing the door behind him and continuing to walk.
