Family. one word that june mckenna was always againts. her family life was a mess, her parents divorced when she was only six years old. her father became alcoholic and strict after the break up, the kids became so depressed but they knew they had each other. the kids became mature and independent, taking care of themselves and eachother. connor was the oldest, he is really caring and protective over his siblings. june was the middle child, she was the one who takes care of ernie when he was younger. ernie, youngest, laziest, gets into most trouble, has most bruises, but still doesen't give a shit.
eddie mckenna was actually the most broken one, he hadn't told his kids but, his wife, jude mckenna was having an affair with his brother, jameson mckenna. jude and eddie divorced, eddie took the kids because he takes more care of them than jude since she was busy at the office. eddie moved to ipswhich with the kids. not soon after they've moved, there was a heart breaking news for eddie, that his ex wife has passed away.
jude killed her self by drowing herself. her body was found floating on a beach, a group of surfers found her dead. eddie became so depressed he started drinking and beating up his kids. he kept it from the kids and they still didn't know what happened to their mother.
the kids' home and school reputation is far different. connor is known for his quiet and calm personality, he's not even known. the sixteen year old boy was to broken to say anything. connor was also incredibly smart, always getting A's in all of his classes, he rules his grades. connor gets bullied in school, for being a quiet nerd kid.
june on the other hand, was hyper. she was an extrovert yet she has no friends. everyone thinks she's strange and simply odd. she's known as the "weirdo" in her class, she gets bullied like her brother. june was called strange because her moods change often, she usually starts her day off happy and ends it depressed, you know why.
ernie. the kid who wouldn't stop talking. the perfect word to describe him would be "brat". ernie is extremely positive, even though he's been through alot he always sees the bright side of things, he doesn't even even mind being beaten up everyday. though he is a softie and everyone likes him. he's also quite smart for his age.
