"so... how are you planning to tell dad about your school project?" ernie asked her older sister, "i'm not gonna tell him." june replied, blowing her bubble gum. ernie just looked at her weirdly and continued walking home. they slowly entered their house and the first thing they see is their dad, sleeping on the couch, and on the floor was about twelve empty cans of beer. both of the kids walked to their rooms and changed since they knew they had to do their chores. june started cleaning up the living room, picking up the empty cams, mean while ernie did the dishes. after they both dod their chores and cleaned up the house, they did their homework and made dinner for themselves.
their dad woke up as they cleaned up the dishes. he walked to the fridge and grabbed a bottle of alcohol, and for some reason starts talking to himself. june and ernie both quickly went to bed as they did want to get in trouble. june tried her best to sleep, as her father kept shouting to him self amd banging the bottle on the wall, she was worried and really wanted to check on him but decided to sleep it off.
