I was browsing around on my computer when I get a knock on the door, serveral knocks in-fact.. no.. banging.. my Pomeranian Cookie started barking and growling.

I looked at the door, and slowly walked toward it and looked through the peep hole to see a man in a lab coat yelling, while getting attacked by a couple of guys in scattered clothes as I didn't think of anything and quickly open to let the man inside, as the banging continues, I pushed my weight against the door.

'Emm, How can you be so stupid letting a strange man that you haven't even met before in!! Did they all go in?' I thought as I peeked over the couch and.. it's just the man in the lab coat..

Good..

I didn't let anyone else in..

'Well he was in danger.. from whoever those people were doing to him...'

After a few minutes and he let a couple of heavy breaths as from the couch, he looked up at me, I went to grab him a bottle of water and handed it to him.

My small dog looked at me like I've committed a murder, but the same time she just watched from a distance as this man was looking at me, which was the corner of the hallway.

"Thank you miss, I'm sorry if I'm interrupting anything" The man quickly explained, I could tell he isn't from around here from his Brit accent.

"No, you're not, I was just on my computer, so what happened?" I said.

"I don't know, one minute I was at that convention center a couple of a miles from here, visiting with the other scientists and discussing theories and the next thing you know, everything started going in chaos, everyone's screaming and the next thing I know, I'm running out of the center and soon there's these people with animal ears attacking me, as you saw those guys attacking, they had animal ears and tails..and it wasn't those types of animal ears and tails either.." he explained, I nodded and he gasped.

"Oh, excuse my manners I'm being rude for just bursting in your home and not saying my name, I'm Dr. Ryle but you can call me Thomas." Thomas said, reaching out his hand for me to shake his hand.

"I'm Emm, A complete computer nerd and I work as a animator" I said as showing him some art, he gazed in shock.

"You're a pretty good artist" He said.

"I tried, so what's going on out there?"

"Well, There's a very dense fog going around and it might stay for a couple of days, even for weeks, nobody knows where it came from or how it was made" Tom said as pointing outside as he wasn't joking, it was so dense outside I couldn't even see the bush outside of my window.

"It's so dense" I whispered, looking out the window but then out of nowhere a girl around her early twenties jumps on my window and start growling at us, she had two pointy ears that I couldn't recognize but I knew it was some sort of dog, I start screaming and my dog started going crazy and barked at the window as I ran to close the curtains.

"What the hell was that!?" I shouted.

"That's was one of the 5 million affected people.. and they will keep coming.. They turn into these weird animal human hybrids who has absolute no memory of their pasts and just wants to to either rebel against the humans who aren't affected or just want to please them by following them and obeying so they will submit but most of them will rebel, the researchers say that the ages are around middle of teenage years to late thirties." Thomas said as a few moments later, we both heard a chime coming from my computer and coming from Thomas's phone.

Heyy, sorry to keep this first chapter short and that ending is so sucky but trust me, more chapters is to come and will probably be longer.

What could the chime from the computer mean? 🤔🤔🤔 (i cHIMED IN WITH HAVEN'T YOU PEOPLE HEARD OF, cLOSING THE GODDAM DOOR NOOO, I'm sorry not sorry I had to 😔👊😂😂)
