Brent's POV

I hear her mumble under her breath, "Shit."

Our mom's just walked down on us kissing. I played it cool and said, "We were doing a YouTube video and one of the dares was for me to kiss her for three seconds."

My mom then said, "Oh. Well then that's okay. Gotta keep the fans happy!"

Cassi's mom started to speak,  "Hey Cass,  did you ask Brent about any good books?  We all know how much of a book nerd you ar--"

Cassi cut her off, "Mom! No I am not a book nerd." she said turning to me.

"Brent, may I speak to you privately?" My mom asked.

"Uh. Yeah sure."

We walked into the guest bedroom and she said, "Brent. Why don't you show her your secret place?"

Wow. She actually had a good idea. "Great idea!  Thanks mom!" I yelled as I ran out of the room and grabbed Cassi's hand and dragged her up the stairs to the main floor and then up more stairs to my room. I quickly shut the door and locked it. I slowly walked over to a dusty bookshelf in the corner, knelt down to the second to last shelf on the bottom,  and pulled out the third book from the left, and pushed the bright red button. The door swung open and I walked in pulling Cassi behind me. I quickly asked her what her favorite book was. She said, "The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. " I ran across the library quickly with a pen in hand and wrote a note to her in the front cover, same as Augustus wrote his number in the front of the book he gave to Hazel Grace. I ran back and gave it to her and she said she had to go and she would see me tomorrow. "Bye b-babe," I stuttered. She said bye back and I quickly took off my shirt an shorts so I was in my boxers and went to sleep.
