A Flower

A flower of your garden bed

We will hold onto thorns

Your flower is a beauty's red,

But the flower you will mourn

Its pretty petals drift away, far into the breeze

While your flower withers, our thorns thrive with ease

Turning dark and dry,

Your flower will die

While our sharp spikes

Will remain fine

Please, do not assume

Based on what your eyes perceive

A wolf dressed in sheep's clothing

Its careful steps and wools of white will deceive

Don't say I didn't warn you not to choose the delicate roses

Who go, dead and dropped,

When you could've easily chosen

The thorns whose roses you robbed.

(It gets better, I promise. This one ^^^ kinda sucks lmao)

Tears

Your eyes a dark rain cloud,

In the early morning

Your tears drown the towns,

And the TVs filled with warnings

The first drop rolls down, and then there's a pour,

It's raining cats and dogs, falling down your cheeks

A puddle forms, and then a lake, and then an ocean

And soon enough you're drowning in your own tears.

Heart Made of Glass

A heart made of glass, a heart ever so fragile

Even if you hold it, ever so carefully,

The heart of glass will break, you see.

Do not wonder of its past,

Do not pry open the safe

You will find something you wish you had not,

Of how the heart of glass was made.

Be patient, be aware,

Do not wonder, do not stare,

Listen to its cries,

Listen, listen, don't ask why

And only then, will it say

How it came to be that way.

The Lion's Lair

Don't enter the lion's lair,

The king has been overthrown.

Don't enter the lion's lair,

The lion sits on his horrific throne.

The lion is hungry; hasn't eaten

It swipes its tongue across its teeth,

But not yet has its jaws made another bleed.

So I tell you, now,

Do not enter the lion's lair,

It will eat you alive.

It consumes your thoughts and consumes your hopes

Until your mind can no longer survive.

My Useless, Meaningless Thoughts

My eyes shut, just a moment,

But enough for an hour to fly.

My mind blanks and my memories lie.

Not a thing is remembered,

From these past minutes, hours;

I've been thinking, thinking

Of long bridges and high towers.

Elevators that never stop,

People who cannot die,

An octopus's arm regrowth

And Pinocchio's curse of his lies.

I think of so many useless things,

Things that will not help me.

Things of fantasy, things of forgotten;

Some things that I'll never see.

But I like my fantasies, I like my dreams,

So I hoped that you'd let me be.

Let me sit with my thoughts,

Sit with my useless, meaningless thoughts;

You won't listen nor understand

So let me be, leave me alone,

With my useless, meaningless thoughts.

These are all my poems, lmao. I know, I know - they're really cringy, I'm aware.

Hope you like 'em anyway!

I made these at school for a project that I had to do.
