Early bright morning at 06:30 AM, it's time for July to wake up from her beauty sleep. Usually she went to shut her alarm off and went back to sleep, groaning and whining can be heard in her room. This year, she's a junior which means she needs one more year to graduate from high school.
"Shut up, why I have to woke up this morning." July said while pressing the stop button from her phone.
Thomas Ashbluff, her brother. He was in charge for July school time. He wake her up, make breakfast and even drive her to school. He graduated from high school a year ago and now pursuing his study in a university.
Knock..knock..knock
"Come in." July tiredly answered. "Good morning. You should wake up, it's the first day of Junior Year. Don't want to miss the fun right?" Thomas said while holding the door. "Good morning Thomas. Can I have five more minutes before I shower?" July said as she sit up on her bed. "You're always like this, July. Fine, five more minutes. But not more than five, I have to drive you to school." Thomas said. "Thank you so much, I love you. I'll see you downstairs." July said as she lay back down on her bed and close her eyes for five minutes more. Thomas nods understandingly then close the door and goes downstairs.
After twenty minutes of getting ready, July went downstairs to have breakfast with Thomas. "Look at you, all pretty and clean. Two eggs and one bacon?" Thomas said as he scoop two boiled eggs and a bacon to her plate. "Yes, and orange juice please." July said as she take a seat in the kitchen bar. They had their breakfast together then their off to school.
July arrived in school at 08:45 AM. Before Thomas drive himself to his class in the university, he had a pep talk to July for school spirit then watch her go to class. July arrives at the school main hall, joined by her two pretty best friends, Gia and Jess.
"Hey guys, I really miss you two. How's your break?" Said July. " My break was good, daddy bought me a lot of books to read during the break." Gia said. " You should recommend me some of it." July said. "Of course. I'll send you the deets later at lunch." Gia answered. "How about you Jess? How many parties have you been in?" July ask after they reach their own locker. "I don't even count them after my parents divorced." Jess answer tiredly. "Oh honey, we're sorry to hear that when you text us in the group chat. You have us remember? Friend sticks together remember?" Gia said.
The bell rings then they went to class. Their schedule was English in the first period, Social Science in the second period, and they went on their AP classes for the third and fourth period.
"Should we sit on these three rows?" Gia ask them both. "Sure, I'll be in the back." Jess answered and July nods. Their English teacher, Mr. Evans came inside the class alongside with Kenzie. July's boyfriend. "Mr. Yearwood, you're late." Mr. Evans said as he glanced back at Kenzie while walking. "Sorry, Mr. Evans. I caught up in a traffic." Kenzie answered with ragged breathe. He was running his whole strength to the class. "You lucky this was the first day of Junior Year, I let you slide. But if you repeat it again, I could sent you to detention. Sit down." Mr. Evans said as he place his book on the teacher's table. Kenzie took his path to sit beside Jess. "Kenz, change with me." Gia said as she gather her things to move beside Jess, letting Kenzie sat beside his girlfriend, July.
Kenzie sat down on his seat. His sweat made his cologne smell stands out more, made July's proud of being his girlfriend. "Here." July said while handing Kenzie a tissue. "Thanks babe." Kenzie said then kissed her hand while accepting the tissue. Mr. Evans cleared his throat, then they stop flirting. First period ends at 10:00 AM, then they switched to their second period which finishes at 12:00 PM. Four of them make their way to the cafeteria. It's so crowded like usual so they decide to have lunch in the football field.
