The ring sound from the telephone could be heard. Sandra quickly rushed to it as Martin and the other colleagues went to their respective position. She picked it up:

"Hello?"

"You wanted proof of life, didn't you? A garbage truck will pass by your house in less than three minutes",the voice cut off.

Without wasting any time, Sandra frantically ran down the stairs of the Brown's house

"Hey Stop!" John shouted as he came in the middle of the road infront of the huge garbage truck, following Inspector Martin behind him. Thankfully, the driver pressed it's brakes on time. All panic-stricken, John jumped onto the truck and he began searching for something like a crazy old man.

Wastes and dirts were surrounded around him. His hands were gone through the dirty rubbish and he suddenly gasps as he'd injured his hand. Blood came out but he was too desperate. He went on searching when he felt his hand has touched something hard. It was a dirty pink bag. Surprised, he took it out among the dirts and stared at it. He could still remember he gifted this school bag on angela's previous birthday. He then placed his bloody hand inside and he took out a small picture of angela from the bag.

                                  •••

Sandra stared at the small picture she found in the garbage bag. The little boy's picture could be seen. She disappointingly placed it back on the table where she and Martin was sitting.

"He's alive",she said.

"It's the same kidnapper. He's back",Martin confessed.

"You were right Sandra",a shocked Martin said as he stared at her.

"So, this is how he had sent you evidence that the child was alive. Then?",asked a confused Sandra.

Martin went back to his previous thoughts:

                                 •••

They tiptoed the stairs quickly when they handed him the green bag.

Inspector Martin grapped the bag then ordered the two colleagues to prepare for the arrangements while he was packing up the money in the bag. John was behind and was watching him when Martin said:

"He has asked you to keep the bag near the piller. So, keep it there and don't wait. The police would already covered the entire railway station by then. So, don't worry" ,he explained as he placed the bunch of dollars in the bag.

John gave him back a worried face when he came closer to Martin and said:

"I am scared..he kept saying don't involve the police... I hope there won't be any problem..",John said as he felt his heart beating faster out of fear.

"No..No..there won't be any problem",Martin reassured him.

"We'll arrest him and save Angela. So, don't worry",he said as he placed his hand on John's shoulder and left with his colleagues.

John was surrounded by tracking devices and officers in his house when he noticed Nancy staring at him from the kitchen. He came towards her when she whispered anxiously:

"You should talk to Peter, once. Angela is his daughter. He has the right to know about it.."

"I'll tell him once Angela come back home safely. Or else, he will get scared and panic",John made up his mind about it.

"John?",Martin called him out

"Yes.."

"I must go now",he said to Nancy and nervously left for the railway station along with Martin and the force.

                                  •••

The railway station served the area where the passengers could boarded and alighted from trains. The siren of the train could be heard from afar as it came on the railway and stopped to allow the passengers get on and off easily and safely. Martin and his team spread through the station, dressed in local clothes.

"All units are ready?",Martin let his voice be heard through the walkie talkie to his partners.

"All set, sir",they replied.

Martin was stand-by in a corner of the railway station, watching closely to the activity while some of his partners were set from upstairs, ready to receive the necessary signals from their boss.

John tiptoed down the stairs with the green bag on his other hand. He worriedly walked on the platform where passengers would walk on and he left the green bag on the ground near the pillar as instructed from the kidnapper. Fear ran down his spine, he looked around and waited when the siren was heard and train stopped on to let out the passengers.

They all jumped out from the train, all dressed in army costumes along with their green bags on their shoulder. John felt himself lost among the crowds. Everyone was dressed in the same clothes and it was almost impossible to catch the kidnapper who would picked up the bag of dollars.

Martin ordered his force to come downstairs and he ran to the pillar where the money was. He scurried among the crowds from the stairs, bumped into several people when his eyes catched an army cadet picking up the bag of money but left behind another green bag to it's place.

Martin angrily ran towards the bag and he abruptly opened it up when he found out that it was filled with sheets of newspapers. All frustrated, he thrown back the green bag when he screamed:

"Hey! Shut the station! Nobody should get the hell out!"

Unnoticeable by Martin, the kidnapper was actually going away with the money from behind.

                                    •••

"It all went in vain. We couldn't catch him",Martin disappointly explained to Sandra from the balcony of the Brown's family.

"It's the same guy. Do you think he'll plan something similar?",a confused Sandra asked.

"I can bet on it",replied Martin as he glared at Sandra. The latter blinked when she said with a slight smile:

"You may have stopped wearing the uniform but you still sound like a policeman"

Martin looked straight.

Sandra came closer when she asked:

"Whom are you trying to deceive? God...or your ownself?"

Martin felt himself burning with guilt. They both stared at each other when the telephone rang again. Sandra rushed and picked it up:

"Hello?"

"Did you get proof of life?",a strange voice said.

"Yes, but I want to talk to Ronnie"

"You will get your chance. But right now, collect your parcel from the entrance"

"Parcel?"

Martin removed his headphones and rushed downstairs along with some of the colleagues. He noticed a box on the bench. They turned to their right and then their left but no one could be seen. He surprisingly opened the sealed box when he took out a new green bag. He stared as he realised he once received a similar one back to Angela's case. His thoughts got confirmed.
