based off of the song by PVRIS of the same name, it's an OT3 fic with Daisy, Jemma, and Fitz

Jemma walked through the house and readjusted the picture frames still hanging on the walls. In most of them, the pictures showed a much younger Jemma, Daisy or Fitz. Some held photos of the entire team in whichever line-up they held at the time. Jemma and her little family rarely spent any time in the small home the three of them shared. She wanted it to be all cleaned up by the time her boyfriend and girlfriend got there.

She ran her finger along a photo of a much younger Daisy, back when she was known as Skye, a hacker with no last name. She had longer hair then and no alien powers. Jemma hadn't been certain if Daisy would live to see twenty-two years old then. Things had gotten much more turned around since then. Now Skye heard that she had changed a lot over the years of being a SHIELD agent.

With the picture frames lined up and dusted, Jemma went to go get a nice outfit on so she could greet Daisy and Fitz in a bit of style. Leo had changed just as much as the two women. In some ways, he had been through more than either of them, and he had come out of the other side stronger. He wasn't the young man who wore sweater vests and was too afraid to go out into the field.

Jemma eventually managed to fight her zipper all of the way up her back, her hair falling in loose waves across her shoulders. She stared up at the ceiling, the cool white color reminding her of lab coats, school walls, and the hospital. It was soothing despite how abrasive she knew it seemed to people who didn't have the same relationships with those environments as she did. Jemma took a deep, steadying breath before heading back out to the porch. Fitz and Daisy ought to be home soon. She loved the idea of this being a home to all of them.

Jemma stood on the top step, smoothing out the skirt of her dress across the upper thighs. She looked up once more and watched the sky. Stars glittered in the lack of light pollution, Jemma didn't often get to see such a clear view. The sky itself was a deep shade of navy blue. For a moment, as her mind wandered, Jemma felt as though the very atmosphere over their heads had gotten dressed up for them as well.

She snapped back to attention when the car pulled up in front of the house. Jemma did her best to contain herself. At first, she wanted to run down the stairs and into their arms as completely as she could as soon as they made it out of the car. Jemma squashed all of that down. It was better to see both of their faces when they got their first looks at her.

Daisy and Leo shared a 'look' before simultaneously dropping their bags and charging forward to scoop her up.
