"and as we end this service we go out of the church with calmness in our minds and kindness in our hearts"

Everybody raises from the church benches and for the first time in forever they actually go out calmly instead of like a bunch of hens.
My face meets the cold air outside and I take a deep breath in and out.
That is when I hear a voice behind me.
"I didn't think you'd be the one to be at church" I turn around to see that it is the mystery boy, Charlie, he has a small smirk on his face. I think for a second.
"Well I can say the same thing about you"
I say coldly and he laughs a little.
He reaches out his hand and says "Charlie" I take his hand and shake it gently. "Grace" I feel my feet starting to hurt as it is very cold outside this time of year.
"I know that, Alice had to say your name a few times this morning before you actually heard her" his smirk is still there and it is kind of creeping me out.
I see that he stares sort of funnily at me and I do not understand why until he opens his mouth.
"Does my smirk creep you out?" he accentuates the word Smirk
wait, did I just say that out loud?.
My anxious self takes over and I start laughing nervously, I get saved my father who is tapping my shoulder so I turn around. "Grace, we have to go now"
I nod and then I wave Charlie goodbye as I walk to the car.

Next monday
I walk into the boring room that they call a classroom and I see that the seat next to where I usually sit is taken, by no other than Charlie. He turns around and smiles when he sees me.
"Hi Grace" he says and I simply wave back since I am too lazy to do anything else. I sit down next to him and pull out my phone from my pocket and use the touch ID to unlock it. Before I am able to do anything else Charlie takes my phone. "Charlie, give me my phone back" he laughs a little. "just wait a little longer an I will give it back to you, but not yet"
I shake my head and as he promised he gives it back to me a few minutes later. finally
I think for my self.
"what did you do with my phone, I hope for your sake that you didn't delete something or I will kick your ass" I try to say that with my voice being as fierce as it could be, but I fail and he once again laughs. "I would like to see you try but if you really want to know I only added my phone number to your contacts"
I quickly go into the contacts app and when I scroll down I see that he is actually telling the truth. why would he do that, why would he want me to have his phone number? a lot of thoughts and questions is flying through my head.
"Hey, do you want to hang out today?" I look up and see Charlie's eyes looking at me expectantly. I think about the question for a second before I answer.
"Sure"
That is when our English teacher walks into the room and as the good student that I am, I stop talking to Charlie and turn my head to the front of the classroom where she is, at the moment, standing and pulling out a computer from her bag.
She starts talking about the importance of having good grammar skills and I quit listening.
