Adrien glared hatefully at the paper in his hand as he walked in the hallways of spacious building towards the front exit, maybe taking a detour here or there. The entire page was scribbled over with complex equations and formulas, all messily written like the panicked student Adrien was. However, even with all his work, it did nothing to prevent the large, red letter D- that was plastered over the front of the paper.
"Father is going to kill me..." the blond muttered, running his hand through his hair in anxiety.
There was a scoff from inside his knapsack, before being followed by a voice.
"I'll say! You were three points away from a F! You can say goodbye to all of your remaining hanging-out-with-friends privileges 'cause THOSE are out the window!" Plagg laughed from within the backpack.
Adrien growled, shoving the failed test harshly into his bag, also causing the black kwami to zip out of the opening as well. The tiny cat glared at the boy, who only shoved by him to keep walking. He could tell what the kwami was about to say, and he frankly didn't want to hear it right now.
"You wanna know how you might've passed that dumb 'test' thingie of yours?" Plagg asked, floating after his master. Adrien rolled his eyes, even if he honestly wasn't expecting this question.
"Sure Plagg. Please, grace me with your endless knowledge! Bless me with the sound of your voice! Give unto me the power that is your shitty advice..." Adrien exclaimed, his voice and face lighting up with obvious sarcasm and false awe.
Plagg snorted, still glaring at the blond as he continued to fly along side him. "You could probably use it too! If only you'd ever listen to me! And maybe you could've passed that test this morning if only you hadn't been out all night STEALING and abusing the powers of your miraculous!! And for HIRE no less!!"
Adrien groaned, waving off the kwami as he kept walking towards the exit. "Whatever Plagg. Just come on. Our chauffeur is going to be here any-"
"NO!!" Snapped Plagg louder this time, flying in front of the young man's face, forcing Adrien to stop in his tracks. Adrien was wide eyed with surprise at the kwami's sudden outburst. But Plagg wasn't finished there.
"No!! Forget what you were out doing last night. Forget that you could've nearly killed Ladybug or any other number of INNOCENT BYSTANDERS. But two weeks ago Hawkmoth came to you, and offered you a deal."
"Plagg, can we not talk about this right now?!"
"-and instead of DECLINING the offer of a SUPER VILLAIN you accepted?!"
"In case you haven't noticed IM A VILLAIN TOO!!" the blond snapped back with just as much hateful spite.
Both fell silent, glaring at each other with a deep, seething hatred for the other. Adrien could feel his heart pound in his ears as he stared at this floating black cat.
But Plagg only shook his head as softly, as his expression softened, and almost seemed to grow...sad.
"I had noticed...but I also couldn't of helped but hope that-"
"Hoped what, Plagg?!" Hissed Adrien, interrupting the cat suddenly, and even making the kwami flinch back.
"Hoped I wasn't as bad as you thought?! Hoped there was still shreds of goodness in my soul?! Because you've made it abundantly clear to me over the years how highly you think of me and my morals!! Or maybe you were hoping that Hawkmoth would slap some sense into me, and ill run crying to Ladybug to take me back?! Oh, im sorry! It's just you almost made it sound like you cared for a moment there Plagg. Sheesh, that must be a first for you!"
