Don't mess with her

"Nice for you to come down Hazel," the headmaster said smiling at me. I sat down

"Hazel, where were you today?" Yuki asked 

"She came home since she wasn't feeling good" Zero quickly interjected before eating. Yuki looked at me, I averted my eyes down toward the food before eating it. Throughout dinner it was silent and no one really talked. Soon dinner was over and everyone went to their rooms for the night. I sat on my bed carefully thinking over the day 

'He doesn't know about us. I'm not surprised most people don't know about us' I thought as it's very rare to see a creature like me since vampires are more commonly known. 'Stupid vampires. Why do they have to be so high up and think they are so better than everyone else' I groaned laying back on the bed 'Maybe tomorrow will be better' I thought before going to sleep. 

The next morning Zero walked ahead of Yuki and Hazel saying that he had something to do before school. He rushed toward where he knew the two boys would be. He had asked Yuki who the two boys were that talked to them yesterday and she gave him their names. Today he is determined to make sure they never mess with Hazel ever again. As he walked he saw them both, leaning against the wall talking, detouring he walked up to them. The two boys saw him coming 

"Oh morning Zero," one of them said Zero smirked before punching that boy hard 

"What the hell!" The other yelled looking at his friend. Zero grabbed both of them by the collar and held them against the wall tightly 

"Now you listen to me, you worthless twerps. If you ever think about talking to Hazel again. I'll be visiting you again and it will be more violent than this. You got me?" he threatened the two boys nodded frantically. Zero pulled them down to the ground and close to him but not letting go "Don't talk, look or even come near Hazel" he said before pushing them down "Now scram!" shaken up both boys ran away. Satisfied Zero headed to class.

That day was interesting for Hazel as after all her classes Zero was standing outside waiting for her and walked her to her next class. 

'I wonder what is up with Zero?'  she thought to herself as she was sitting underneath her tree with Zero and Yuki beside her

"So Hazel how do you like it here?" Yuki asked she turned toward her then averted her eyes down 

"It's good I guess. Different though" she answered Yuki nodded and continued to eat while talking, Zero sat there beside Hazel listening to Yuki but also annoyed. 

"I'm gonna walk around, Hazel you want to come?" Zero asked getting up. Hazel looked at Yuki then back at Zero before getting up. They both walked around the campus aimlessly before coming upon a fountain with some students sitting around it. They both sat down on the end not saying anything to each other 

"Zero" Hazel started 

"Hm" he responded 

"Is something wrong?" she asked 

"Why do you ask that?" he said she looked down 

"Well I can tell something is on your mind not to mention that you suddenly started walking me to and from class today. You don't have to tell me if you don't want me. I'm just saying that I can tell something is up" Hazel explained her voice soft Zero sighed 

"Have those guys bothered you any today?" he asked 

"You mean the guys from yesterday?" he nodded she shook her head, "They haven't even come close to me today. D-did you do something?" she asked 

"I may have scared them really badly so they won't mess with you" he confessed she giggled and smiled 

"You didn't have to do that," she said 

"From what happened yesterday I made sure it's never going to happen again," he told her the smile was still on her face

"Thanks, no one's ever done something like that" Zero looked at her and ruffled her hair 

"No problem," he said the bell rang in the distance "Come on let's get back to class," he said to Hazel as they walked back into the school.
