A few months later....
Maxwell was still seething about how a woman would choose a dumb judge over a smart doctor. He just couldn't stop being angry. What made it worse, was the judge later started dating a teacher, who turned down Maxwell at one point too.
Maybe that was why he started going back to school....
His teacher was, evidently enough, the teacher that was dating Mr. Lennon. And while Maxwell was sitting in class burning up his soul and thinking about sweet revenge, the teacher had asked him a question. He didn't answer, and, the short way of putting it, he got detention.
It's kind of funny that the teacher was ALSO the detention teacher person. She was pretty bad at it though. All she would do was talk to the judge on the phone. So, as you can expect, she was pretty distracted.
"Wow," Maxwell thought. "I sure am lucky I randomly brought the silver hammer to school."
Before he knew it, the teacher was sprawled on the ground, dead.
At the gossip's house:
"I SAY! This is quite disturbing, isn't it? TWO MURDERS?"
"One can hardly believe something like this!"
"Yes, one would hardly believe that, unless they saw it with their own eyes!"
"The biggest crime that's been in this part of the valley was when one of Mrs. McCartney's flowers were stolen!"
"I heard a rumor that the killer will kill again!"
"No!"
"I DO SAY!"
"What, what? What is there to prove it is the same person?"
"The detective said that they both had large bumps on their head!"
"Indeed! I heard it too!"
"Then why didn't you speak up before, Ms. Starr?"
"You just want attention!"
"YOU DO TOO!"
"DO NOT!"
"YEAH, YOU DO!"
"I SAY!"
"I SAY YOU SHOULD STOP SAYING I SAY."A few months again passed.....
And still Maxwell's hatred grew stronger.
After much plotting he decided that the only way that he could carry on with life, was to kill one more person. That person would specifically be John the Judge.I think Maxwell went a bit extreme in his plan to kill the judge, but nonetheless, this is what he did:
"I DID IT! I KILLED THEM BOTH! IT WAS ME! ARREST ME AT ONCE, THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!" He was shouting this at the local police department (which consisted of one officer [Officer Paul Ringo], who was also the detective and coroner). And at the blink of an eye Maxwell was sitting before the judge.
"All evidance (he talks funny) poants two the there guy raght thare that's owan trail." Said Mr. Lennon, the judge, pointing at Max. "He be guylty." The room emptied out and soon it was only the Judge, Officer Ringo, and Max.
This was the last kill, Maxwell didn't care who saw him do it, he just wanted peace back. So he charged the Judge whooping and hollering and pulled his hammer out of his boot (which is where he hid it) and before the judge could react, he was hit twice on the head with the hammer.
"OH MY GOSH." Said Paul. "YOU JUST KILLED HIM."
Maxwell payed no attention. He had a wild look in his eyes...like he wasn't really human anymore.....and then before Paul was able to grab him, Maxwell Edison, the once good doctor, jumped out of the window of the courthouse and ran to the side of the river and leaped in.
That was last anyone saw of Dr. Maxwell Edison. But rumor has it, he is still alive in Castle Combe, killing random people there with his trusty silver hammer.
And that is why he became known as the Silver Hammer Man.
THE END
A/N This was kind of a strange and different story for me, but I do like it.
I hope you enjoyed it, and maybe tell me what you think the song was meant to be about.
If you don't know it, I based this story off of the song called Maxwell's Silver Hammer by the Beatles.
If you look you see it sounds like he's in a bigger town or city, but I liked the idea of it being a nice little village in England, so I changed it a little to support that idea.
This book was written for the contest "walking contradiction" that my friend -scattered made.
